Damn, Gary! Let me have my fantasies. That's all I've got left!
Something's missing in this picture. Perhaps 'The Woman in the Waves' (She understands how the blue water behaves).
You see how I am? My whole world is make believe. They tell me that's because my sign is Cancer, The Crab.

I need an injection, of guacamole dissolved in a saline solution.
Here's my latest, shot with a teeny, tiny subcompact camera with a 'folded lens', and then run through a computer algorithm to make her look ten years younger than she really is. Ha! It worked pretty well:
My taste buds are fried from drinking too many of those frozen Pina Coladas. Might as well get the medicine directly to the bloodstream.
Had one of those frozen Pina Coladas once... SERIOUS case of brain freeze followed. Took a healthy drink... looked around the big roundtable... couldn't recognize any of you guys and girls... ...

We didn't encounter anything like that. Perhaps because of the early season? The cool of February? I dunno. It wasn't an issue on that day. The best part of this experience was the beach was deserted! Unbelievable! So everybody felt loose and free. Conditions were ideal for this type of shoot. I want to go back.

Yep... in freezing February the beach is almost always deserted... BUT... from May to Oct you can expect some healthy crowds and loads of beach-cop activity...

The key to this is shooting on a weekday when school is in session. There's nobody there!
Also, don't bring a tripod or a reflector. To the cops this automatically means 'commercial photography' and they will want to see your permits.

I might try and make this but depends on my kids little league. I am usually a sports photographer and work in online media. I am thinking about branching out and listen well.

Mike's shoot yesterday was my first time shooting portraits with my new (used) Sony a580 @ 16.2 magapixels (same sensor as the D7000). I'm quite happy with it, compared to where I have been. Here is a sample using my 100mm macro lens:
Monster funtimes tonight... discussed plans on everybody's next few photoshoots... including the 200+ models that will be attending HIN this coming Saturday (March 23) at the Fontana Raceway. I'll be there at the Mr. Clean Promotions booth starting at 4pm...
WOW... the strange contraptions those 'swapmeet photoday' photographers come up with never fail to amaze me...
You can see he added gold tape inside to warm up the white balance. I don't know the camera owner's name but I'd like to see the pics he got. Maybe Mike knows him.

I'm thinkin more like warm up the model's fleshtone. I believe warming up the white balance involves making a custom menu adjustment to whatever white balance application he has selected to use...

Well yeah, that's what I was trying to say. Sorta like a California Sunbounce in a tin can. And the way the gold tape is arranged might create a sunburst effect on the image. Interesting, eh?
