I found  a body painter on MM.  I browsed MUA's in my area and looked for ones that do body painting.  We linked up and did the shoot last weekend.  A couple of the pix are in my port - in fact, my current avatar is one of them.  He used an airbrush with CO2 cannister, so he did the painting on location in the woods.

It was a fun experience and I'll certainly do it again.

Good luck!

I've done a couple of simple "paints".  They were actually makeup applied with a wet brush or sponge.  It is a aloe-coco butter product that washes off easily and is good for the models skin.  I heard some horror stories about paint not coming off easily and steered clear.   Models loved it and the images.  Both models who didn't want their images on the net were so proud of the paints that they said "hell yes" when I asked if I could put them in my port. You can see the images in my "other shoot offers" port.  kevin

Hello Maxwell, sounds like you answered your own question if you found me! ;O)

Seriously, I am for hire, but realize that is not a workable option for many. Do a search for bodypaint or body paint on the forum and you will find TONS of info, especially from the stylist forum. If you are not as concerned about final results you can go to your local theatrical supply store, most college towns have one. If you want better results than that you can usually find a MUA in a city near you that is willing to experiment or is looking for the opportunity to give it a try. If you need good results and have a budget, without the long and sometimes dissappointing experimental faze...hire a pro.

Hope this has helped you.

Awesome and artistic and fun and easy going and relaxed and... I can go on and on about him.  He was my first shoot, I learned so much and got some great photos.

You referred some great people and I am sure they all appreciate it. But you do a pretty good job yourself Rich. Don't count yourself out.

Real paint looks SOOO much better...
I hate airbrush..
I would wait eigth times more to get a wonderful painting on my body,I would not even want to take 10 minutes to get my body airbrushed. It looks kind of cheap to me.

I prefer makeup..... it is easier to wash up.  Take a look at the art statue pictures.  If you want to have a bathing suite painted on... this can take hours.

You can also project color onto the body... I have used airbrush, body paint, and makeup... all have there plus and minus.

Models prefer makeup for coming off... it is more messy than airbrush but (in my opinion) easier to work with than body paint.

Hope this helps.
