I'm serious: I read in some Fung Shui book once that grey colored bedding is considered bad because it is "tomb-like" or "like being buried beneath the ground".

Personally, I really love charcoal grey- I think it looks classy, clean and classic (and of course is a fantastic base for other colors around it)...works well for clothing, shoes, home decor, etc...but perhaps not for bed linens?

Hmm.  What do you think?

I'd do it.  I like the look of colors like that.

I've used grey sheets off and on for years.  Seems ok to me. borat

Edit: I've used black sheets as well.  Not sure why "tomb-like" is supposed to be a bad thing...surrounding yourself with dark colors where you're meant to be sleeping is helpful, if anything.

Just like any other color...works great in certain instances, not in others.

I had silver bed sheets for a while that were gorgeous. I had silver sheets with a black duvet and I loved it.

There's always some weird death thing in feng shui.

I love grey, and have used it on bedsheets at home as well as on sets we've dressed.

Classy, and it helps blur the line between masculine and feminine, whilst allowing you to play with many different shades and textures to create depth and interest.

Grey doesn't have to mean Navy Battleships, there are both warm and cool greys, and bedding can range from the darkest charcoal to a light lavender-grey or pinkish-grey. Introducing a slight sheen can also help add some glam and interest, so that the bedding doesn't look too flat or depressing. Faux fur throws in silver or taupe and dove-grey cashmere also add softness and warmth to the overall look.

Honestly, everything in my house would be some shade of grey if I had total free reign, there's just so much you can do with it!

I like grey.  Brown, too.  Brown and grey go well together, I think.

I wish! I'm working on it though, my landlord has just approved me to re-paint the bedroom walls a light grey-beige colour big_smile

You can see my place by following the link on my profile, I already have grey walls in the living room and dining room. I'm obsessed.

I love tones of grey. Just painted the bedroom a very light grey. It makes the room very relaxing, it's a neutral color.

I wouldn't mind have grey and black bedding.

I think you should go with what you like, and that people who decorate their homes or businesses based on numerology, astrology, or feng shui are silly.
