Gary,

This venue could be a high contrast situation if cloudless sky. What equipment are you bringing for this shoot in your personal aresenal? What camera(s)? What lenses? Reflector? External flash?

Do you have any advice what to bring or what not to bring?

Hey Clark... bringing 2 California Sunbounce reflectors, one 'on tripod and Pocket Wizarded' speedlight.  Lenses are all Nikon and they are the 10-24 (for D7000), the 16-35 (for D700), the 16-85 ED-VR (for D7000) and the 70-300 (for both D700 & D7000).  I just bought a 24-70 APO Sigma lens for $200 from a friend who went bankrupt, and I'm gonna be testing that lens out as well.  Got 2 guys coming who will be our 'reflector captain slaves' and you can order them around for reflector assistance... borat

Right now it's looking like about 12 of each... and that number may go up a few more by tomorrow AM.  Greatest thing about this shoot is it's a 'one to one' ratio shoot... NOT a gang bang... gotta love those numbers huh... borat  And another HUGE photographer bonus... you'll get to shoot ALL 12 MODELS for 4 1/2 hours for less than $25... DUDE... that's the photoshoot 'deal of the century'... borat

Holy S***T! You don't mess around. That's good to know. I was debating with myself whether to bring a wireless speedlight or not. I am a bit worried about bringing too much stuff to a crowded public place.

Thinking...

Yeah... and I don't recommend bringing a camera bag... so go down to BIG 5 sporting goods... buy one of those BIG multi-pocket $30 hunting vests (they come in a variety of colors and styles)... and put all your lenses and flash goodies in those big pockets.  Samy's camera has photographer vests, but they're around $80... tongue

Yeah, I should have a vest. I do have a camera backpack bag. Maybe I'll use that instead of a regular camera bag.

Good idea... keep your gear 'attached to you'... less chance of it 'growing legs and walking away'... if you know what I mean... wink

Right. But how are you going to keep 4 lenses, 2 cameras and a speedlight attached to YOU? Is your vest big enough for all that?

This is why I hired an assistant, 'cause I want to bring two cameras and an assortment of lenses. Just trying to figure out how I'm going to do it.

Just so that everyone knows I will be there at 10am sharp. Maybe even early. But, I will be there!

Gotta get going early to take the dogs out for their play and then drop them off. Then on my way there. Looking forward to being there!
