I love when Photon Mayhem brings us new toys Is this a "try it for free for a limited time" project to hook us up for future sales? If that's so, you're an evil genius xD

) that's free to play with.
there's a "pro-version" which grades 45+ megapixel images, but unless you need them for print the free version should be enough - (900px on the long side)
Nice tool, it's not for me, but I can see this being used by wedding photographers and such.
Here is my list of suggestions:
- Rename "Grade" to "Presets" or "Looks"
- Hide the top left slider when no presets are loaded
- Make the buttons behave that when you click "Grades" it opens the presets and when you click it again it hides it. Or make the "Cancel" button stand out more or make an obvious "X" somewhere.
- Make the text for the buttons on the right horizontal.
- In Grey mode, don't grey out the slider icons
Just a few things I noticed when playing around now

thanks for the great suggestions.
I'll probably implement most of them when I get more spare time.
the dynamic application is intended for fun / web-pics / quick results,
hence it's free and has 900px limitation (the pro version handles just the looks only )

Haha, you'll probably turn it into a mobile app, charge $0.99 and millions of hipster kids will make you a rich man.
Like how the Looks button toggles now, but I think you might still need the other option for if you're already hovering over the Looks presets and you decide to cancel.
Still think the buttons on the right should have horizontal text. Don't like tilting my head to read what they do.
Grey mode still behaves the same. I don't get why you added those two icons on top? It shifts my attention to those icons and makes me want to click them to see what they do. But they don't seem to do anything

You're just a internet-junky with a click-fetish..psscht

you know, that when you have different colours on your workspace it's harder to judge the colours of the image, so grey is the preferred option, which makes judging hues better but harder to judge saturation. Those little things seem to help with that issue, and having a proper colour complemets nearby is useful.

update: Gel's functionality is modified
ex: original / Gel-Pink(light)
there are 4 algorithms added, two tone images same as before, BUT the new ones are fast!
and I mean fast... what took 15~20 sec to render, now it's done in less than 1 sec.

Unless "retouch" information is saved separately. (I want 5% of your future profits for all my input )
haha ) good one
btw, on the mobile you see the graded image before you take the snapshot.
(and all adjustments will be visible in real time before you take any image).
I'm sure I could squeeze in skin-smoothing and and even some skin-glossing... but lets see how it goes

Yes, I got that part. What I am saying is that I would only like that feature if grading/retouch information is saved separately. So it stores the actually camera image without color grading applied, so that you can later change the type of grading when you change your mind.
Grading is now graphically accelerated done internally at 32bit depth per channel.
(The fast 4 grading functions -looks; and all dynamic adjustments - via sliders.)
There is virtually no restrictions on image size .
(if you are grading over 16MP image you should probably use Google Chrome as a browser)

- No more demo image?
- Top left slider is back when no look is selected.
- Looks seems to slightly blur original image.
- When Fast Look buttons are pressed, the Looks panel stays open.

the image on the screen is obviously resized (upsized/downsized) from original.
when you save it it will be OK, in the original size/quality.
(it's saved at jpg 100%)
top-left is blending the "look" with the original, before the other adjustments are done (so if there's no look loaded it is the same as being to the left).
slider are not auto-resetting on purpose. (if you have a few images from one session, this way it will be easier to match the grading for all; to reset press "reset")
button panel remains open for the fast-looks, as they take less than a second and it's easier to browse this way. (click anywhere outside and it will close)
yep.. no-demo pic... it just takes space and time.

I know, but you took it out before and now it's back.
It's a confusing slider when no look is selected. There is no need for it to be there when no look is selected.

Can we get a percentage/time indicator when loading one of the other looks?
I like to see and know that it's actually doing something.

the web-looks are working at a proxy-level, so those will not be processed at full quality. (it will take 20min to grade a 25mp image on the server, so there's not much point of working with the web looks unless it's with small images)
The 4 fast looks, and all adjustments of the sliders are full resolution.
