The problem with that shot is that you are angling away from the camera, therefore minimizing your face/eyes. And your legs are cropped off so that isn't a drawing point. In order to have a effective avatar.....for a women anyway...generally you need to sell yourself in some way and do it with a BAM! Whey, because we skim over most avatars in about 1/2 second. If that much. So you need a shot that will either highlight your eyes, legs, curves, cleavage. Your current avi does none of those things.

Good luck and thanks for stopping by!

I very much like the shot. Bright color, good lighting, gorgeous model, and showing just enough cleavage to make me want to see more. Yes!

What do you think?

I would have liked to see your reasons for why you would you wouldn't want to see the others so I know what your criteria is and can learn from that as well. smile

I don't know Beth. I think your figure is fabulous! I actually have one of your shots in my Perfect Bodies list. But this current shot as avi........I don't know. IMO it just doesn't do it for me.

LouLou,
there are avatars that will catch my eye when I post on another person's photo, thread or even on the main page, some avatar's will catch my eye. What makes those Avatar's stand out? Here is a short list:

1. bigger is usually better. Far away photos don't work on a small avatar. They have to grab my attention in about 1/4 of a second at most, and if my eye/brain has to figure out the avatar photo because you are too small in it or it is too busy, then it will not catch my eye

2. Colors.....bright colors catch my eye better. White (not so much a color but you get the idea) and red do the job the best. If you do a B/W then make sure that it really pops me in the face and says "HEY!! Look at me!!"  That is why I use the avatar that I use. It stands out. If the photos was smaller, it would not stand out. Do you agree?

3. Photos with curves and lines work very well. I will quantify this up front by saying I am a huge heterosexual. Just the way I am. We all have things about the opposite sex that really catch our attention. Look at the previous comments I have made......especially the ones that say " yes". There is something in the photo that sets the female apart.......legs, curves, behind, eyes, ........those catch my eye alot. And if you can highlight them, then I will more likely look at your port.......and maybe even list  or want to work with you if even possible.

4. Males. As I said before, I am a heterosexual. So you are already at a disadvantage if you are a male model. However, I will look more if you have a very creative avatar (because I like creativity no matter what your sex is), and I also enjoy beauty. Beauty can be male or female, but once again I inherently believe that females have more inherent beauty. Just the way I am.

On to your avatar and port. First, you are a very pretty lady. Of that there is no doubt. And your shots show that you are very pretty. But in order for an avatar to stand out it has to have some Pop.......a drawing point, like I listed above.

Hope this helps a bit, and thanks for stopping by

Changing your avatar is a pain as you always want to know if it is indeed string enough to capure someones attention....so yes, would love to know!

I do like the shot, and you did a good job with the contrast. That is why the shot at least has a chance to draw me in. However, I must confess that the shot with red in it would most likely have the best chance of getting my attention and therefore making me want to see more.

Who labeled them 18+?. You or MM? Because I don't see any 18+ shots in your port.

Still, I don't see much pop in your avatar shot. coupled with flat lighting the answer would be no

I must admit, I really love your port. Very impressive.

I do like your avi, but it suffers a bit from bad lighting. Bad lighting can work for artistic shots, but putting them as an avatar is a bit detrimental. If I would notice the shot I would say 60% chance I would look more
