This is sad!  I'm embarrassed to say this, but I thought he had already passed away.  I had photographed Scott with John Phillips years ago for a 20th anniversary celebration of the Monterey Pop Festival.  I'm so fortunate to have heard him sing live in concert along with the Mama's and the Papa's (after Cass Elliot had died) then after that we've lost Denny Doherty and John Phillips.  Now we've lost Scott!
