You don't need any. all you need to so is just showing them you're a professional shooter who has 100% work income from photography.

Their online application asks for a current members name and email. Are you a member?

Thanks,
David

call or email them telling your unique situation that you make 100% work income from shooting nikon gear, but you don't know any pros in your area are nps members. they will tell you what exactly you need to do.

I'm an NPS member, but it takes a LONG time to get your card, email replies, etc.  They did ask for a referral from another member, did contact them, etc.  Took a few months.  And as a NPS member... eh... nothing really.  You get quicker repairs and expedited repairs, but that's about it, unless there's a major event that you're part of.

Unlike Canon where you just pay the fee, you do have to show your credentials, which I think is smart.

How come you want to be an NPS member?

John,

I am most interested in advance exchange and speedy repairs of camera bodies. I usually have to repair or replace a camera body once a year due to high volume of images I take in my work. My current method is to buy a new body, have the old one repaired and then sell it. I would like to avoid that process.

Thanks,
David

Call them up and talk to them if you don't personally know someone to sponsor you, I know they will work with people on the various requirements. I had both the sponsor and tears but I know others who have been accepted without.

I didn't have a sponsor, but I did submit a strong case to them and was accepted very quickly (although I know it normally takes months).

Not under all circumstances.  I was chatting to an NPS friend of mine the other day, he said the Nikon folks just signed him up right there and then at a trade show.

But then, there may be differences between the UK & USA.
