Anyone here that is a member? I am looking for a sponsor. Thanks, David Oct 08 12 03:14 pm Link You don't need any. all you need to so is just showing them you're a professional shooter who has 100% work income from photography. Oct 08 12 03:56 pm Link Their online application asks for a current members name and email. Are you a member? Thanks, David Oct 08 12 04:05 pm Link David Stith wrote: They do require a sponsor, you are correct. Oct 08 12 06:47 pm Link I'm an NPS member, but it takes a LONG time to get your card, email replies, etc. They did ask for a referral from another member, did contact them, etc. Took a few months. And as a NPS member... eh... nothing really. You get quicker repairs and expedited repairs, but that's about it, unless there's a major event that you're part of. Unlike Canon where you just pay the fee, you do have to show your credentials, which I think is smart. How come you want to be an NPS member? Oct 08 12 09:38 pm Link John, I am most interested in advance exchange and speedy repairs of camera bodies. I usually have to repair or replace a camera body once a year due to high volume of images I take in my work. My current method is to buy a new body, have the old one repaired and then sell it. I would like to avoid that process. Thanks, David Oct 08 12 10:14 pm Link Call them up and talk to them if you don't personally know someone to sponsor you, I know they will work with people on the various requirements. I had both the sponsor and tears but I know others who have been accepted without. Oct 09 12 06:51 am Link I didn't have a sponsor, but I did submit a strong case to them and was accepted very quickly (although I know it normally takes months).
