Parking is horrible.

There's an express bus that goes down Wilshire that gets you to the train to DTLA, but it takes a long, long time.

ETA: getting from that area to the airport is shitty; supershuttle would do it for roughly $30 I think, but again, it takes a long, long time.

If you drive there - you will get a parking ticket

I don't even think you have to stop - to get one.

They may wrap it around a brick and sling it thru the side window of your rental car as you drive through.

That is Beverly Hills

Well, this is helpful.
I guess staying as close to that spot as possible would be the goal then.

I mean, its LA. Traffic is awful all over LA. Youve got bus stops right by you, but that bus is going to be stuck in all the traffic everyone else is stuck in. So while you CAN get places, you cannot do so in a timely fashion, so dont ever need to be somewhere in a HURRY and youll be okay.

As for chaos...its just another big crowded american city, if you can weather NYCs chaos you can survive LA. Just probably dont go out at night alone, you look twelve and vulnerable in the dark.

It LOOKS like youve got a lot of stuff within walking distance, food and store and stuff wise.

The satellite image looks like everything off the main road is residential, so probably by permit parking only, it will almost certainly suck to street park and a garage (if theres one near you) will also cost you, because its like NY

Buy a scooter.

There's a https://assets.modelmayhem.com/images/smilies/scary.pngrule in L.A. that motorcycles can ride between lanes. Freaks you out if you're in a car, but it's probably the best way to get places. And parking them is way easier and cheaper than a car.

There are VERY few places to park that are not permit or metered. However, the meters all take debit cards.  And the rules for any given parking place require an associates degree to determine when and for how long you may park there.  Read the signs carefully.

Busses and cabs can get you places, but as said, not much faster.  Buy some good walking shoes.

Post a casting call for a "Nemislave"?

Somebody with a car, that can take you too and fro?  And a place to lay your weary head?

I imagine that many would want to be Nemihelpful in LA.

There may be places where you can rent a scooter. I don't know about LA, but in SF, you can bike anywhere. I'd think they'd have rental places out there for those.

I've got a bachelor pad you can crash at if you need a place in Pasadena.  You may come and go as you wish, and don't need to model.
I've got two outdoor cats.  It's raining and they love the outdoors.  If you can deal with wet cat's you're welcome to sleep on the futon or air bed in the living room.

Totally agree with not getting a car at all,as inconviencing as that will be
They would give you a parking ticket just for breathing even if you didn't have a car if they could
(Some loser tried to ticket my truck while I was sleeping....WHILE I WAS ON MY COMPANY's property...needless to say I chased this guy when I threatened to take a pic of my vehicle on our property and him writing the ticket on our property and take him and the city to court and post the pic all over the internet)

But on the plus side, dunno if you can eat fish these days,by far the best sushi restaraunts in the US are out there(just go to taste what real wasabi tastes like, none of that green paste they pass off as wasabi in most of the country)

copy this into the map area, not the http area
1125 South Beverly Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90035 to 178 S Meridith Ave, Pasadena, CA

It looks close on the map, but it's about 45 min to an hour away depending on traffic.  Just thought I'd offer.

Not sure why all the people who don't live here are saying don't get a vehicle.  You can't do anything here without a vehicle.  Just park where you're supposed to park.  No problems.  I've only received two parking tickets in the last 12 years here.
Talk to Betcee, London, Stella Dean, Lewis Matthews or Tracy Jordan if you want references.  I'm on the list of approved places to stay for traveling models/photographers here, somewhere.  If you can find that list, you may be able to find a much closer location!

About a mile away, up Allen Ave and the 210 freeway, is the train that takes you to Union Station, and the western area.

Ethernet hardline or WiFi available to the livingroom.  Nobody uses it (the livingroom, or the hardline).   But, it is on the way to the kitchen.  There's also a bathroom downstairs, but you'll have to go upstairs for a shower.  No biggie.  I print in the downstairs bathroom over the sink, but I can clean it up while you're here.  It's just a leveled glass plate over the sink.  I'm in school right now anyway, so I don't print much, and won't for the next two years.  Halfway to a bachelor's degree.

Since you're only in town for a few days, I can loan you my car, but you'll have to drive out to my Mom's in Hacienda Heights with me so I can pick one of hers so I'll have something to drive around.  Something to think about if all else fails.

It's dirty and filled to the brim with homeless people. On a positive note, everything you could possibly need and then some is right in front of you.
