Jan 08 13 03:06 pm Link ***Everyone please look this note over if you've never attended before!!!**** Quick note for photographers: If you have sessions from 5-6, it will be fairly dark in the warehouse spaces if you don't have any additional lighting, battery operated only since electricity is very hard to find in the upper floors. Please keep this in mind when shooting your last session of the day if you use only available light. I'd bring a flashlight as well for your last few sessions of the day when exiting the warehouse heading out to the stairway.... Models: Please bring a long warm jacket or robe that you can wear over your outfit. Also bring flat closed toe shoes to walk throughout the warehouse in. I wouldn't recommend walking barefoot in most any areas of the warehouse as there are shards of glass, metal, and wood in areas.... I would also bring some gloves to wear as it does get cold in the warehouse with no heat....Some parts are very drafty as there are broken warehouse windows which causes alot of the draft throughout the floors. I also highly encourage everyone to share cell phone numbers as this will assist greatly in locating your photographer/model when it's your session time. The building is very large and you don't want to waste 20 mins trying to find your session photographer. Lastly, models again, I encourage everyone to bring an extra empty bag to carry into the warehouse areas to bring your accessories, outfit change, shoes, makeup for touchup, etc needed for each shoot you're doing. I wouldn't lug all of your wardrobe and props up to the warehouse floors but if you have two different looks or a wardrobe change within a shoot, you could have those items with you instead of trying to go down to the main floor to change. That would cut into your preparation and shoot time. Models I would encourage bringing a hand mirror as well since I'm sure there won't be enough mirrors for everyone! The more you can do at home before arriving the faster your first shoot will go! Models, please discuss with your photographers your looks you are looking at achieving during the session. Please be flexible with your looks as certain specialized sets may not be available for your session. If you can't get one look in with a certain photographer, you may be able to get that look in with another. Hope this helps everyone prepare! I have photos of the warehouse areas that I will be posting in a day or two. Sorry for the delay. I've been ill with the flu. So the group would love it if everyone could either pitch in a few dollars for veggie trays, cold cut trays, fruit trays, chips, snacks, Bread, soft drinks, water,.cookies, donuts. whatever. You can either bring something with you, homemade or store bought, or pitch in a few dollars when you get to the event toward food.
