It's not BAD just needs more looks and variety. There are too many couples shots-maybe pick one color and one B&W.Need to do more shoots girl.Vary the styles like a good B&W haedshot, casual fashion indoor and out,swimwear/lingerie,formal attire, clubwear etc mix it up and show some energy and different expressions and moods.Best of luck.

Hi Maruschke,

I want to start by staying that *you* are not bad at all- you have a nice figure and a cute smile.  Your port, on the other hand, is not so good.

The main problems I can see are a lack of quality and variety.  All of your photos look like they belong on Facebook, not in a model port.....and the fact that half of your images include a male who appears to be your significant other doesn't help.  Nobody is going to take you seriously as a model as long as those images are in your port.  I would recommend removing them ASAP if you're serious about improving.

Have you looked at the ports of some of the more experienced models on MM?  Have you noticed the difference in the quality of your images vs theirs?  Find some inspiration, make a list of photographers you dream of working with, models you admire etc. -that way, you'll have something to aspire to, and hopefully be driven to improve more quickly.  Unless you actively try to improve, you're going to stay right where you're at.  Study poses, and practice your own poses in front of mirror, find your angles, work on your facial expressions, put together outfits, buy unique accessories that might be neat to use for a shoot, study magazines, work on applying makeup, find music to take to shoots that inspires you and helps you emote.  Contact great photographers in your area, and give them a reason to work with you.  Offer to hire a MUA, provide interesting wardrobe, rent a studio, scout an interesting location, etc.  Developing a good port is a lot of work, but you can definitely do it if you make up your mind to put in the effort.

Hopefully this helps.  Best of luck to you.  smile

The first 7....dump all but one.

The two with the white top....dump one of them.

Head shot....in water? That one too.

Then go out and shoot more with the best shooters you can get your hands on.

I agree with all except for the bit about dumping all but one of the first seven. IMO, dump all seven. They're Facebook shots of you and your BF.

Okay. But just be aware that if you do these TF shoots and produce similar images to those you already have then you may still not have the variety you desire.

Why not open up communications with the Photographer and discuss what YOU need from the shoot. Have a plan. Don't just turn up and hope for the best.

TF's are supposed to be about collaboration, so collaborate and be (more) in control of the end product.

the main thing is you.  Sorry, you really lack the right look for any genre I can think of.

Why not take in what everyone is saying to you...and Pay for a Photographer...look for the right Photographer...and discuss the situation with that Paid Photographer...and in a couple of months from now....Show us the much improved results. Now.....Go prepare!!!  OR maybe you don't have to pay...There are tons of photographers in your area who are willing to work with you...Plan this out. Don't take a couple of fair to ok pics and post them and ask the same questions....Truly plan a new direction.

Not saying you are bad looking but that for modeling- you arent so right and you show little charisma in the pics and I dont understand why you are pursuing it

You don't. Look at all of his other posts to other people. They've been just as negative.

This really is uncalled for and borders on abusive.

You do not speak for this community (or any other, for that matter.)

I'm really sorry you feel that way. smile I'm pursuing it because I really love it and it makes me feel good. I never thought of myself as beautful but I think if I work really hard I will be able to create stunning images. I'm still learning that is why I started this thread I want to try and improve myself.

I really hope I''ll be able to change your mind someday.
