Why does everyone come into the Model forum to school models?

Don't know about everyone else, but we thought that email was funny so we thought we'd share it...

So... to answer your question, we're not REALLY trying to school anyone...

We could see that. Good thing we don't need to rely on forum messages to sell llamas on working for us.

It's just that many of us receive multiple messages like that daily.  I guess it's just not funny after you've seen it for the 100th time.

No theories here dude. Just sharing something we thought was funny. Laugh or leave the conversation. Simple as that.

Unfortunately this is exactly what sites such as Model Mayhem were made for. Many of us take photos, publish, model and other such related activities in order to increase sales, publicity, talent scouting and marketing.

This is a business related site. We contribute images and content to the web site owner, who then sells advertising space to other businesses targeting the users of the site. We in turn receive, (the serious business minded people), the opportunity to back link from what Google calls a 'Trusted Site' and that increases our own SEO (search engine optimization).

True hint for models: If you don't have your own site, then you are doing yourself a disservice. I can recommend a bunch of places to get you a web site for free and it is yours. Add a blog to it and sell your own advertising. If I was a beautiful person on the outside as most models on Model Mayhem are then I would use that to make money or market myself as a model to potential clients. You would be amazed at how few businesses go to MM to find a model. Most go to an agency and if you don't have one then you have to market yourself.

I know many people on here want to work on artistic and creative work and I would as well, but artistic and creative work while it can sooth the disturbed, these works do not always pay for the studio, web hosting, camera, training, or a variety of other business costs to being a photographer, agency, professional model and publisher.

Yeah, we understand. We receive many of the same sorts of messages often as well. Not messages about schooling, but just dumb stuff that makes us say, "Wow". We can't stop it, so we just laugh because it is funny to us.

Around our office, we have a sarcastic sense of humor. Thank the good lord too because we're not sure what we'd do if we had to walk with a stick up our butt our whole life like some unnamed friends we've just met in the last 30 mins... It helps that some of our staff came from radio. They keep this place humorous and light.

C'mon folks chill out. The end of the world didn't happen so smile!

Hey dudebroman with 7 posts, why don't you and your rAd!c@l m@g take 20 minutes to skim the forums before posting something like this?

20 minutes would have you realizing this thread was going to be unpopular, unhelpful, and not funny.

"Oh, hahaha! People that can't type! Hahahaha. Seriously, I love when I'm trying to get information from someone and they communicate like they're dicking around in a 4th grade science class! Hahahahahaha."

No, just no.

lol, so one post on the forums is paying for all that? Even a bit of that?

It's called making better posts. No one's saying, "OH MY GOD, STOP, STOP NOW, DON'T USE THE FORUMS!" People are saying uh, bro, this is the oldest news since the internet, if you want to increase your earnings potential, post something interesting. Shit, I haven't even opened this guys profile yet and I'm a few hours away; if this had been interesting or rational I'd have already seen what his magazine was all about.

Psh. I've gotten an offer written like that before I'm still pretty sure it was a legit offer.

I mean, the offer was for porn and prostitution.......

BUT the offer was legit.

I am sure that is what the girl from Pawn Stars thought. It was a legit offer and they paid me, what harm could it do.

Why you think those two thoughts go together boggles my mind. But I've never seen the show. So maybe she's truly dumb.

Pretty sure he's referring to this? https://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=872102

Because both porn/prostitution and nude modeling have nudity involved, so... you know...

Taylor you are truly and intelligent and wise goddess of MM.

To quote the poet of our times (they are poets in a form)

Eminem
"That’s why I’m clever when I put together every verse
My thoughts are sporadic, I act like I’m an addict"

I just write them down to get them out of my head.

Amazes me how some people can be nieve enough to actually respond to this and THINK it is a legitimate inquiry.....

I have a friend who did just that the other day and then calls me, "That person I was supposed to meet up with scared me and I feel like they were a creep"...(I could have told her that and I DID, days before this happened)...I thanks God she came home alive and was even able to tell me her story! sheesh!
