How many DVD's do you own?
Looknsee Photography wrote: Mostly I buy DVDs of movies I like. My test for liking a movie is whether I would watch it twice back to back. Amazon, however, is pretty good at suggesting movies I will like, and so I often buy movies unseen. Those have worked out for the most part. There are a handful of movies I'm disappointed in, but none I can think of the name of. Jan 04 13 02:56 pm Link Prob about 150. I need some new ones though. Jan 04 13 09:45 pm Link Roughly 500 ordinary films. Another 100 or so DVD's I recorded from TV shows & PPVs. Another 100 - 200 porno ... I love those muscle men. EDIT: I just realized I'd .be a lot richer if I hadn't bought all this stuff I seldom watch Jan 04 13 10:29 pm Link I'm embarrassed that I likely own close to 400 DVDs ... maybe more. I have box sets of all seasons of some tv shows (curb your enthusiasm, sopranos, the wire, etc.). I bought my favorite movies on VCR and then repurchased them when the DVD format debuted. I drew the line at blue-rays when I noticed that I never watch the DVDs in my collection. Jan 04 13 10:58 pm Link I counted. Looks like 697. But I only counted most boxed sets as one dvd, even if they contained many dvds. Jan 05 13 12:10 am Link Had 297 until about 2 months ago....took up too much space and I realized I'd seen almost all of them a dozen times since I started buying 10 years ago. Sold em, but not before I ripped all my favorites and copied them to a pair of hard drives. Just gonna go digital from now on, takes up less space for the same price if you buy online and download. Jan 05 13 12:37 am Link 300 dvds yet the funny thing is if one of them is on TV I'll watch that Jan 05 13 01:48 am Link -JAY- wrote: Serious? Jan 05 13 01:55 am Link I've got around 50 including box sets, and I want to sell most Jan 05 13 01:56 am Link Best estimate 1800-1900, canceled cable, got tired of paying $66 a month and never anything on worth watching, also travel for work a lot and can't rely on internet so dvds keep me entertained. I don't trust the web cloud to always be available so if I like a movie I buy the hard copy Jan 05 13 02:08 am Link at least 800, closer to 1000. Jan 05 13 02:38 am Link I have about 400 DVDs. Most bought used off Amazon or eBay. Quite a few in the $5.00 bin at Walmart. Jan 05 13 05:21 am Link -JAY- wrote: So, how is that organized, or are those DVDs stored there in random order? Jan 05 13 08:54 am Link Three that I bought and SEVERAL HUNDRED that I downloaded illegally off the internet and burned to disc. Jan 09 13 02:35 pm Link |
