Free Download, CS2
"Adobe has put the entire Creative Suite 2 (Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, GoLive) up for free download on their site." Version dates back to 2005. But it's better than nothing at a great price. *Note: That's not my blog. Adobe's main page went down and Noel had all the links available. Edit: Removed the link above until it's confirmed these serials are to be used by anyone. Jan 07 13 12:02 pm Link Looks like it is on the level, from what Google shows. ...although the adobe page is currently down http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlemen … ID=4485850 Jan 07 13 12:26 pm Link It is. I saw it when it was on Adobe's site earlier. Looks like the page has come under heavy load though (not surprising really), so it's coming up with an error at the mo. Jan 07 13 12:27 pm Link i've been getting site unavailable all morning. Jan 07 13 12:28 pm Link Jan 07 13 01:26 pm Link Apparently this is a misunderstanding. I found this when I checked into this "offer": On behalf of Adobe Systems Incorporated ... You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2! What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don't require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. (Special serial numbers are provided on the page for each product download.) See . You are only legally entitled to download and install with that serial number if you have a valid license to the product! - Dov Jan 07 13 01:30 pm Link Grady Richardson wrote: lol, oops. Jan 07 13 01:40 pm Link Well, Forbes are already reporting that it's not free, you aren't supposed to be able to download it (but it looks like they're basing the article on the forum thread linked above too). http://www.forbes.com/sites/adriankings … -for-free/ Jan 07 13 01:43 pm Link NothingIsRealButTheGirl wrote: Yup, Adobe may have to increase the price of CS6 to cover the losses! Jan 07 13 02:13 pm Link still unavailable. I gave CS2 to one of my kids, and they changed laptops and forgot about it years ago. I'd resurrect it just to have on the spare laptop. Jan 07 13 03:24 pm Link Grady Richardson wrote: So, it's not free for anyone...only to people who already paid for it once? lol Jan 07 13 03:32 pm Link They're essentially "updates" for people who own a valid license, so they can install it without it having to go to the activation servers (that no longer exist). Jan 07 13 03:45 pm Link CNET retracts: UPDATE, 2:40 p.m. PT: There has been clarification since this story broke. Adobe has not released the CS2 software for free. Instead, it has cancelled its CS2 license management servers, so for those with existing licenses it is now offering downloads that do not require contact with the licensing servers. This service is only going to be available for those with existing Adobe CS2 licenses, which will be verified when creating the Adobe account to download the software. http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57 … -for-free/ what a mess.
