Congratulations! I just got CS2 - in particular Adobe RAW - to work on my wife's win 7 machine after messing with it (more off than on) for the last 6 months.
Not quite happiness on your scale but we all have our little victories...

For those of you who have never experienced the NIRVANA that I have...32 GB of memory is NOTICEABLY HEAVIER than mere mortal amounts of memory (I'm not kidding when I say I almost got a hernia from just LIFTING the 32 GB upgrade kit!).

I have 8GB and have done 3D work with it, honestly unless your printing jobs are defined in acres, meh. I'd rather have a screaming GFX card at this point. Let me know when you get dual Tesla blades

[I also have 3 1 TB external hard drives for backup.]
This is not "your father's PC"...it has some power...

I feel as though you are obsessing over the RAM when it's the SSD and cpu giving you the speed. The RAM will allow bigger things to be opened, and yes some speed based on the kind of RAM. Also your gfx card is lame, but does Adobe support OpenCL or Cuda these days?

I upgraded one item at a time (including going through 2 RAM upgrades - 8 to 16, then 16 to 32)...and saw some speed increase with each upgrade (I even saw an increase in speed with I added the 2 extra hard drives, creating separate scratch disks on both of them). I was actually very surprised to see the difference I saw with my last upgrade: 16 to 32 GB RAM...I didn't expect to see much if any speed difference, but it was actually one of the bigger jumps in speed I saw (or really mostly a lack of hesitations/delays).
I was very methodical with my upgrades and I know what I got from each one. The speed increase I got from installing the SSD (which was the last upgrade I made before going from 16 to 32 GB RAM) was one of the bigger speed increases, as was the upgrade from 2.8 GHZ dual core CPU to 3.6 GHZ quad core CPU).
Upgrading the video card (again) will probably be my last upgrade, as anything else will get too expensive for the difference (the only thing left I can really do is replace the motherboard and CPU - again - which would not give me much bang for the buck).
I'm probably going to do some overclocking with my present CPU as I've seen a lot of positive data on how much the AMD Phemon II X4 975 3.6GHZ Black Edition CPU can be overclocked.
[Upgrading the power supply did not give me any speed increase of course, but it did give me fewer blue screens...and put me in a better position for future overclocking of the CPU, as the particular PSU I have now has very tight tolerances with its voltage outputs.]
...And as far as the "obsessing"...it was all meant to be "tongue in cheek" (just trying to have a little fun and entertain the troops), especially since 32GB is a really "vulgar" amount of RAM!
