+1
If you want to photograph a model, not sure only one single picture is relevant. You need to browse her portfolio just like I would look at a photographer's whole work. It makes sense.
Now all we need is a model doing a post in the photography forum on how they will not do a shoot with anyone photographer with a camera for a aviator.
I double dare any model too do that.
Actually, if I saw the OP with his camera for an aviator, I'd be laughing my head off. Sorry, couldn't resist
but apparently he forgot to give MM the option to search for tan skin...it must be hard just trolling the browse category based on ONE picture for a model...
That's like ripping a page out of a book and then expecting you'll read it and you'll get the whole story

Just one look at my portfolio proves this. I have at least three "different" hair colors in my port--all courtesy of different types of lighting!

An avatar is a shop window, it has to grab the viewer's attention and encourage the viewer to click through to the portfolio. An avatar which shows skin colour might not be an attention grabber.
The OP wasn't asking for an UNSOLICITED CRITIQUE of his profile/avatar.

212...I can't argue with that lol I didn't even know that was an option...then again I never search for llamas.
Regardless just looking at the avi is silly...and then coming here and telling llamas what avi is convenient for him is insulting when his avi isn't even a picture that would sell his photography in the least bit..

Models tend to be inconsiderate like that. I agree they shouldn't use the best shot they have as their avi. They should choose the one that makes your model selection easier.

That's a bit harsh don't you think?
Surely there are a few models on here looking for updated photo's of their camera.

Lots of "hidden" features that not everyone has found. I wonder how many models actually make seasonal adjustments to the "tanned" setting? I know a few who write it into their profile. Same goes for "hair color" - those that change often need to alert people their current color.
Totally agree with you on selection by an avatar is silly. The total portfolio including the profile words are important in selecting someone to work with here.

Thanks for reviving this thread. I now see a lot more models using a colour avatar instead of monochrome and this is aiding me no end in my search for tanned models. Thanks to those who made the effort to change.

lol I'm sure it has lmao
My suggestion to you is find a better avi picture considering I only now work with photogs that have a good color photo of their work as their avi...I decided your method MUST be best...

Glad you've seen the light and using my method. However, when I'm paying then I set the terms, so you see, there really isn't a need for me to change my avatar.

This is racist against pale people and Eastern Europeans

LET THE MAN HAVE A CAMERA IN HIS AVI THEN...if he thinks thats the best move then so be it.
however, I personally would never choose to view more photos of someone with a weird avi like that.

Apparently we don't see the light because we aren't tan enough ...tread carefully about criticizing pale people -vampires are out there somewhere

Dear Models,
Please continue to use the image that best defines your style, and your personal taste when setting your avatar. It helps give us an instant feel of what images you are drawn to. Understand that we will also look at other shots in your portfolio before making a decision
