A guy who apparently likes the work I do with women approached me the other day and asked about my interest in taking boudoir style shots of him. This left me scratching my head a little. I've never heard of "boudoir" in reference to a man.

Sure, you can do the same type of shots with a man and make him look all sexy with mood lighting, but would you still call it boudoir?

I would expect the attire to be different... I certainly hope he's not expecting me to shoot him in lacy lingerie... That wouldn't be bad per se.... it could be funny... but if he tries to pull of "sexy" like that I might die laughing. He's got that "tough guy" look.

I suppose you could call it whatever you'd like. I tend to call it physique and/or fitness photography.

He may have only meant that he wants nudes.
He may leave the approach up to you...
physique/fitness/tough guy or actually on a bed with bedroom eyes,
I dunno. He probably only meant he wanted nudes, I'm guessing.

Make sure he brings acrylic heels and a thong so you can do the obligatory "heel caught in thong" pose. It's not cliche if it's a male model is it?

Well technically Boudoir is the term used for a ladies dressing room, the men's dressing room was called a Cabinet - but I don't think that works too well in this case...

I'm not sure that that's what he wants, but that would be fun enough that I'd try it.

If I ever do something like that, I'm sure there will be pics. :p

Although, I do know some transgendered individuals that are in the middle of transitioning from male to female. They might like something like that.

If you're actually looking for a name, how about calling it "locker room" or something similar?

Not to my knowledge. I've never brought one before. I've allowed the model to bring one from time to time.
