Alright, so first things first.

You need to find a good photographer to take your pictures.
All of the pieces you put up really have nothing to do with modeling and just feels like you're a tourist in a foreign country, or one of your girls was like, "Hey lemme take a cute picture of you!"

I'm glad you have pictures of you with your hair pulled back in a ponytail, but it's obvious that you don't know how to model at all.

If all you have is a phone cam and a point and click this is what I recommend:

1.  Take off all the photos you have up.

2.  Pull back all of your hair, stand against a blank wall and have a portrait taken of your face looking straight on and in a profile position.  Portrait means from about the shoulder and up.

3.  Pick and outfit that will show off your body shape.  A tank top and jeans or tights and a pair of heels.  Do the same as the portrait and take a picture against a blank wall and do a couple of poses.  DO NOT OVER POSE THOUGH.

4.  Make sure to get magazines and study the poses and expressions the models have in them and practice them in a mirror.

I think you're very pretty.
However, your face tends to photograph a little older.  I looked at your profile and saw that you were 28.  You aren't old, but because your face photographs older I don't think modeling is really for you unless it's just for a hobby.

I like the idea of you being a make-up artist, because you do have skills in it.  So if I were you I'd pursue that before modeling.  Models are a dime a dozen, make-up artists will always be needed.

You also have a tendency to photograph short.  Your modeling doesn't lend itself for you to be taller. When you model you need to make sure you photograph tall and long.

If you really want to stick to your guns though, I recommend just portrait work and a really good editor for your photos to take out some of the lines on your face.

Alrighty... if I get anymore after this one I'll get to them when I wake up!
If you feel like I've been to mean I apologize... but I did say I'd be brutally honest.  If you feel like you want to critique my work feel free to.  I always welcome it.

You have some decent photographers, but the majority of your modeling portfolio just looks amateur and looks like "Hey! Look at me! I'm modeling!" When in reality you really aren't.

Sure, you're posing for the camera, but it feels off. It may be because the photographer doesn't know how to coach you, or that you may think that your way is best and you aren't willing to listen.  I'm not saying that IS what you're doing but you really need to work on it.

The best way to explain it is that you have the potential to get the next level of posing but you aren't quite there yet.  It's a bit stiff and it's a bit to on the, "Look, I'm pretty, you should be happy to photograph me" vs. maximizing what is most efficient for the camera.

Your make-up tends to be decent, but your styling needs some work.  It feels a bit like you pulled some of the outfits out of a bad costume catalog or something that you deign is fashion but isn't really.  Or, "OMG THIS OUTFITS MAKES ME LOOK SEXY!"

Study some magazines and see what's really in trend for fashion photos.

Be careful of some of the angles of your face though.  Because you have an elongated face and you wear a lot of make-up you can come off a bit drag queen.

You also have the habit of shrinking yourself down and photographing short.  Because you are so short, you want to do poses that maximize and elongate yourself.

I feel like maybe you'd be suited more for cosplay photography more than anything else.

Thanks for your honesty most of my shots are self styled and makeup is done by me and I am no pro and don't have much clothes to work with so your right on that point I am more into alt and darker shots than fashion and as far as posing goes I just pose the photographer(s) have not really coached me at all but hopefully once I start shooting again my port will improve

Great photos, great face and great posing.

Really high class stuff there.  I like how you can do glamor and fashion and switch between the both... and even your glamor looks fashion.  Good stuff.

There is one or two photos that had me chuckling though... not because they were bad but because you looked like you were about to cut a bitch.

You had the pursed, "Mmmm girl... I'm about to snatch your hair from yo' head."

You have what I'm gonna start calling, "Pretty girl syndrome"... which means you are a pretty girl, but instead of really focusing on modeling your face, for the majority of the photos you have a, "Don't I look pretty? I look pretty right? I know I know I'm pretty..."

You don't know how to speak with your eyes in the majority of your photos.  You seem to be able to do it in a couple of your photos, but you should concentrate more on doing it in ALL of your photos.  Be careful you also have a tendency to go dead.

You need better control of your mouth too.  Most of the time it looks like you are clenching your jaw, but not in the proper way.  There is too much tension in your face and you really need to relax the lower half of your face.

Not to sure about your actual posing either.  I feel like a majority of it is kind of 'meh'... nothing to really get excited over.  I feel like you're going more for a catalog/commercial look but it's like some of it is over-posed.

I think you are super pretty though, and you look nice and long.  And hey there fellow Texan! XD  Just work on learning to relax your face and body more and I think you'd make a good career of commercial photography.

I'd also recommend you get some stronger photographers.

I think you have really expressive eyes.
Whenever I go to your photos I notice that your eyes really capture the moment.
Surprisingly, I'm okay with you being an older model because you know how to work your body and face at times and you're honestly really stunning.

At other times you have to be careful though.  Sometimes your lips have a tendency to curve down too much and you look like your frowning.  And it looks like you are more comfortable out of your clothes than in them.

This seems to be an odd common trend with mostly nude models.

As well, even though you seem to mostly have control of your eyes, you have a tendency to look a little surprised in some photos.  Smile with your eyes, they are your best asset for sure.  I will say that at no time did your eyes ever look dead in your photos, especially someone with blue eyes.

I see that it tends to be a common trend with blue eyed people and you seemed to have stepped over that hurdle.

I love that your an actress because I'm sure that helped with that tremendously.

Photos I would get rid of that do nothing for your portfolio:

At first I thought you also had 'pretty girl syndrome' but the more I look at your photos the more I feel like you aren't comfortable being in front of the lens.  You look very stiff and uncomfortable and try way to hard to be sexy.

You have the, "Do I look pretty?" but not in the same context as some of the others.  Yours feel like you're genuinely asking if that is the case.

Release the tension girly.

You also need more varied facial expressions.  You keep giving the same tense face over and over again.

At times you look longer, but in general you gotta be careful because you photograph a little short.

Remember if you want to do editorial fashion work, you need to work the clothes and show them off while still capturing the camera.  The focus need to be the clothes, you are just supposed to make them stand out not the other way around.

With your current route, unless you get better I see you settling with commercial/glamor photography.

Girl you are so Nordic looking I love it!

I think your photos are great with what you are doing with them, but I don't see you doing anything editorial or fashion.

Obviously you're fearless, and extremely comfortable with yourself.
But I think you should stick to artistic nudes like you have been doing.  Or just things that are more artistic in general.

Feel free to prove me wrong though big_smile

I think your photos are amazing, but your modeling not so much.

As far as your modeling goes I only liked these images:
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130209/10/51169a9894045_m.jpg
and
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120821/10/5033c7675fa2b_m.jpg

And that's because it doesn't feel like you're trying to hard.

You got a gorgeous face, but you really don't know how to utilize it.  While some of the make-up is cool, it really doesn't do anything to flatter your features and just serves to make you look pissed off in your photos.

Your posing is stiff and feels amateur.  Like I said before, your body language feels to stiff, and some of the poses really feel like modeling 101.  Work on it.

You also need to release tension from your face in general.  I think your trying to make the one face because you think it's pretty for the camera... but you can see the tenseness in your face.

You also photograph a little short.  I see in certain photos you do try to make yourself look a little taller, but you need to take that to the next level.

Otherwise, you've got potential to be a good alt model.  Keep working at it.

Sorry hun, but I don't think you have a face for modeling.
Continue it as a hobby for sure, but in all honesty you aren't going to go far in it.
Honestly your body structure wasn't meant for it.  Your neck is kind of short and your shoulders coupled with it give your body a slight masculine appeal.

You obviously have no control over your facial expressions and just try to give me girl next door type of stuff. And your posing is terrible... you need to work on that.  Like I tell every new girl in the industry... look at magazines, practice those poses and practice your facial expressions in a mirror.

You need to invest in make-up artists and hair stylists too... cause your hair and make-up in the majority of your photos don't cut it.

I was going to say you look fairly young so you may still yet grow into yourself... but considering you are 23... that may be another story. But then again, I didn't grow into my face until I was in my late 20's so there you go.

You photograph a bit short also, try and make sure you make yourself look taller.

Also... calling yourself vbabe... is not exactly a name that people want to work with.  You may want to change that up.

Keep pursuing it though, you never know and you might surprise me.

Seriously.
Gorgeous! Wonderfully Androgynous.

That being said, I think you should stick to high fashion/unisex/androgynous appeals like most of your portfolio.

While you are a beautiful woman, when you go too girly it really doesn't suit your face. I understand a girl wants to feel girly sometimes but I advise you to stay away from it because you have such a strong jaw and thick neck muscles.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120620/18/4fe27547f1a3d_m.jpg

While this is a good photo, I'm not particularly fond of this look on you.

Be careful of your neck.  It's a little short in photos.

But otherwise you are fantastic! You have great control of your face, though sometimes you need to be a little aware of your chin muscles(sometimes they bunch up a little too strongly like your main profile pictures) but it still looks beautiful.

You have good control of your body and poses, though sometimes they come off a little stiff at times.

Like in this picture: https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120511/20/4faddb031ab3b_m.jpg

Otherwise keep on keeping on! You're great!

After reading your profile, I like that you noted that you do need help with direction.  But you need it for more than just the beginning darlin.

You really need to learn how to pose your body and work on facial expressions.
I can tell that you're very new at this.

You honestly really only have the girl next door look that I don't think is good for modeling. You're pretty, but there is nothing really beyond that.  You seem to be learning towards the alt scene, so be my guest if you plan on going that route.  You might actually be successful in it.  However, you still need to up your modeling skills behind it.

Practice practice practice.

I think you have an absolutely great face for modeling editorial/fashion/catalog work.

A few things to note though.
You need to work on posing your mouth.  I like it when it's closed, but when you open it I feel like you don't quite know how to smile with it or show your teeth.  It like you are trying to smile but it's half way there and it looks a little odd.  It causes a slight tension in your face and you can see lines forming on the sides of your mouth.  Be careful about that.

You have semi-control of your eyes, but you have a tendency to lose it in some of your photos.

Your poses are... okay. I feel they are more on the men's magazine side more than fashion.  I would work on trying some things that are a bit different.

You're not bad, but you can use a bit of polishing.

I do have problems trying to look less tense, It is a physical problem I have and need to work on.
Same with facial expressions, I get too caught up in the moment of trying to look my best for the camera that it ends up looking forced or a bit dead in expression.

I hope these are things that will get better in time smile
