Not sure where to go take this image now. The "scene" is entirely made up, although that is probably obvious to many here. any ideas? Feb 13 13 11:46 am Link Feb 13 13 03:08 pm Link Hmmm... I posted a reply and it incremented the 'reply' counter but the posting disappeared! Or it never got into the database properly. Oh well... Basically, my objection to the image is that it stretches credibility a bit. The lighting on the model was apparently strong (dark shadows under her chin), but the thunder clouds would create a diffuse light with no dark shadows, especially at night. Also the moon shining though the thunder clouds is a bit hard to 'buy'. If you are 'creating' an image from disparate parts, the lighting has to be at least in the same ball park on the various elements. Just my opinion. Feb 13 13 03:27 pm Link Thanks for the response. Yes i agree the moon was just an "ill give that a go and see how it looks" thing The lighting i could fix with a bit more time. I was actually tempted to go nutes and make it look like it was a painting, and give it more of a fantasy look. Just something a bit different from the plain backgrounds i normally go for really. Ill take it back to the drawing board and tweak the lighting a bit. Feb 13 13 03:37 pm Link I'd like to see the model blending more with the background and lighting and also aligning more with those colors. Almost a ghostly image that makes her part of the scene instead of such a strong feeling that she's composited onto a background. The halo around the model is distracting also. I like the idea though. Feb 13 13 03:49 pm Link tweaked it a bit. still not perfect but getting better Feb 13 13 04:24 pm Link |
