or something like it.

I was in Chicago last weekend doing my thing, and after I got home, I started to edit the clients work.  I found a nice tight head shot of one of the models I worked with over the weekend, and edited it, and emailed it to her.

She put it on her facebook, but not after doing some weird looking instagram filter look on it.  Maybe it's called split toning or what ever..

Funny, that I try to make sure we get good color for the customer's clothing, but the model trashes it with the filters...

smile

It's all good.  It was just a head shot that I snapped while shooting the clothing.  Seems that washed out, weird looking effects are in nowadays.

Kids... what can you say.  As a side note, I took both the girls to Chili's for dinner before heading to the hotel, and they both had their phones stuck in front of their faces, snapping away pics of themselves in the ride to the restaurant.

That's all completely over my head.

Is this a rerun thread?  The part about a photographer complaining about Instagram and about taking the models out to dinner but they were busy fooling around with their phones...sounds all too familiar.

Were the models 17 as well?  +/- 1 or 2 years?

Oh, they've always been in. Instagram filters are mostly just replications of film stock and old darkroom techniques.

Thousands of years from now historians will wonder why the 70s lasted so long.

Now that made me smile....  KodaChrome wink  Funny how many people want that film look.

Anyhooooo, yeah, the three, I was working with are 17 years old.  I guess keeping  a smart phone in your face is the thing to do... wink

I just smile while listening to them, and watching 'em ....  I love it when they stay up late out in the city, and I push 'em during the day, because I got sleep...

1 of the 3 was new to the group, so she was kind of laying back in the wings most of the time, until she was called up to shoot, but even then, she was a bit more reserved than the other 2 that we've worked with for the past 4 years.

Shit, I can't hardly remember what the girls were like back when I was 17...  I did love those 70's though... Good times.

I think perhaps that's the thread that came to mind.  So maybe it's not a rerun. tongue

if i put a filter or crop something it stays on Insta, cuz that's what ya do on Insta! I always note it is a crop/filter though (usually they are since i'm cropping out my ladybits). If i happen to be able to put it on facebook or MM I don't touch it though. That's just weird.
