A bit of a change of direction for me -- I'm moving toward the abstract. I'd appreciate your thoughts on my top row.

A change of direction or just more concentration on it?

You have some existing shots which portend this viewpoint.

Is it interesting? Not really to me. I think a lot more shadows, contours, and textures would help, but that's just my opinion.

The question I have is why on MM? MM is a connection point for photographers and models, not so much a 'display case' for fine art images. Lots of photographers post 'art' images of various levels of skill. I just wonder if prospective models relate to those images and if a portfolio of nothing but abstracts would attract models.

Just my opinion.

I appreciate your insight about more shadows, contours and textures. That certainly adds drama.

As for the why -- I think there may be some models who would appreciate some more abstract images to add to their portfolios to show a broader range of work. I have no intention of removing the other work and making the portfolio nothing but abstracts.

"Parts Models" are models too.

Those are parts....of models.

I think there are a fair amount of models, as well as photographers, on here who are interested in creating something artistic.  It's not always satisfying to follow down a well beaten path, sometimes you want to diverge into new terrain.  And an artist always needs a muse.

So....bravo on the photos.  I think they very much belong on MM.

I think we are in need of more ART on Model Mayhem.
