The NHL Playoffs start tonight.

Who do y'all want?

Personally, I'm pulling for my Boston Bruins to go deep.

I am sure that you will be happy that Toronto will win as many playoff games this year as they won last year.

Boston playoff trivia: who passed the puck to Bobby Orr?

Still early but Roberto Luongo (of Vancouver) isn't looking like his usual Glass Joe self.

Say what?  lol  Must be talking about that Oilers game?  Yes, that last game he looked bad.   I'm a Sharks fan ... Luongo is a huge dude, but the Sharks have his number too ... so far.   As I write this, it's 1-3 Sharks so far.   wink

The San Jose Sharks have been consistently making it to the playoffs but lose before getting a shot at the cup each and every time so far.  They've got to win it all one of these seasons ... one of these days!  I'll be there for it!  wink

Go Pens!

Go Bruins!

Go Hawks!

Go Caps!

There, hopefully one of my teams will win it this year, but I probably just jinxed them all...

May the hockey gods be good to me this year.

Boy, that turned around in a hurry.

Decide to turn-in, midway through the 2nd & the Canucks up 1-0.

Yes,I was impressed that the Sharks came back from behind.   He used to be a Shark killer, but Luongo does not look like his old self against the Sharks.   I bet Vancouver can't get Schneider back in the net fast enough!   The Sharks will take this series.

I'm going to be watching the Red Wings vs Ducks on TV tonight.  That should be a good game!  Since Bowman left as their coach, the Wings aren't a sure thing anymore.

Not catching much of the games (time difference FAIL), but going into the post-season it seems most people are seeing a Hawks/Pens final, purely based on their end-of-season form.

But, this is the playoffs and someone will mess that up somewhere. It all depends who stays injury-free, who plays big between the pipes and who is CONSISTENT.

One thing is for sure - it's great to see the likes of the Wild and the Leafs there. Even if i'm rooting for Pens or Rangers wink

ps if you think a Stanley is eluding your team, over here the Nottingham Panthers had to wait 57 YEARS before winning the Elite League championship. They won just about everything else but finally got the league monkey off their back this year.

About half the Pens lineup is either injured or hurt in some way & they still have been kicking ass. I certainly wouldn't bet against them. Unless they play my Bruins but that's just cause I'm a Bruins fan.

I like the Penguins and Blackhawks so I hope neither.
The shortened season might decrease the upsets.

How many years have you had this picture?  I don't mind, she is cute ... but you bring out the same damn picture every season!  Has it helped your Red Wings win the cup yet?  Or did you shoot that after '08?

Congrats to your Red Wings as they evened the score with a victory last night.

Some great games so far!  Looking forward to the Sharks vs Canucks game tonight!

There is something about playoff hockey that increases the intensity of each game.  The winning team goes through an ocean of blood, sweat and tears to be able to lift that cup!   Must be worth it!   I love this time of the year!  wink

What the hell happened with the Pens? Or for that matter the Islanders?

I go on break from my day job & catch the end of the first & 5 minutes into the 2nd, & they're up 3-1. Come home to find out the Islanders won 4-3.

What happened to the Canucks?   Even though the Sharks were not firing on all cylinders tonight, they still found a way to win!  The Sharks rarely lose in their own building this season, so we "might" be looking at a sweep.  Get those brooms out!  wink

How about them minnows!  Um Sharks!  Go Sharks! They might not even have to go through your Red Wings for the cup?

San Jose is playing better, but also differently than they have ever played in the past.  They are playing like they really can win the Cup!

How at least 1 if not 2 pucks didn't go in during the PP gala of the first period I'll never know.

Well if they stall out before playing the big game for the Cup, it's possible ... but for the moment, I don't think that's going to happen.
