Thank you for the feed back, And haha no I don't care to much about bragging, its just drama and I tend to stay away for that. But I would like for you to view all of my photos on my fb page and let me know which ones you think would be better for my port. Please and thank you

Where were you hiding that head shot girl? Your avatar is the best photo I've seen of you yet! And the other new photo is horrendous, the worst one I've seen. I think it's slightly amusing that you have a facebook fan page when you don't even have good work yet but they have facebook pages for everything nowadays. There are just too many freaking pictures for me to look through all of them but now most of them are crap. If you really want me to look through it, PM me and I will pick your best ones. The main thing is that you shoot with better photographers and learn how to pose. And pick some better outfits. In one of the sets you have, you look obese (and it's not your pregnancy ones either) and it's just because you're wearing a huge unflattering t shirt.

You have great range girl, and great potential. Most of your photos should stay. #20 and 21 are phenomenal. They should be at the top. You do have too many photos of those collars though and it's making #21 look not as awesome so maybe get rid of the others. I also noticed that you don't have a close range straight up head shot, maybe think about adding that in. Red lips looking sexy as a h*ll staring that camera down. Yes please!

I'm not a fan of #25,27, or 28.

And change your avatar, it doesn't do you justice!

UGH. I am already dreading looking at your port based on your avatar. Skanky as h*ll....

Surprisingly, you have a few gems in here. #4,6,7,10,11 (do more of this stuff).

Most of your stuff just belongs in skank magazine though. I think you need to decide what you want to shoot. Do you want to shoot cool sh*t or get your rocks off? Or both? If the answer is both, I would make two separate ports because there is no way in h*ll I would shoot with someone like you if I saw half that stuff.

Change your avatar to the back bend girl. Get rid of #2(her face is pretty though, if you've got a good head shot of her I'd put that up),9,16,17-19,20-24,27,28.

First of all, get rid of all those photos in your bio. If you must have them, limit it to two. They get in the way of the important stuff. If I want to see your work I'm going to click on the image icon.

You have some good stuff in here. Unfortunately I would have never seen it unless you asked for a critique because your avatar is lame. Not only should it not be your avatar but it should just go in general. It's not good enough to be in here and you know it.

Lose it= #9,11(bad cliche and doesn't fit your other work),14(pretty girl, bad pose),21(only because the other one of her is better),28.

#17 is dope. Move it towards the top. Change your avatar to something else. Keep shooting, you're good.

Would love an impartial opinion.

Thanks,

You should plump up your bio a bit. Like what kinds of shoots are you looking for? What do you NOT want to do? Are you willing to trade or only be paid? Too many questions go unanswered.

At first glance your photos are lame. Small town photographer+pretty girl+lame fashion poses. Not working. Secondly, you only need one photo of each shoot up here at most unless they are so freaking awesome that you must keep more. I'm here to tell you that they aren't. If I had it my way I'd scrap everything but #2 and maybe #4. But I don't want to leave you with nothing so you should keep #2,4,5,14,19,22.

Delete everything else. Definitely delete #8 and 9.

Shoot more. Relax your forehead a bit. Use your beautiful smile. Stop using dorky fashion poses. Practice. Shoot even some more. Just because you do a shoot and get photos back doesn't mean you have to put them in your port. If they suck then they suck.

Most of these are just...more sleaze. I'm getting tired of skank photos really. I don't get that stupid steering wheel and license plate concept. Only keep the one that is your avatar. And change your avatar to #2.

You should keep these=2,4,8,19,22,26,27. Everything else is blah or bad makeup or bad pose or just bad overall.

No one cares that you made it on your team for the last three years. Get rid of that whole paragraph. They do however care that you are a dancer so keep that stuff in. Before I even click to see your images I'm thinking I'm going to see some great dance shots....

And I'm really disappointed! Where the h*ll are they?! And don't tell me that you posing in a flamenco outfit counts cause I have one of those too. You are a beautiful girl and have great skin tone.

#13 is your best shot.

Get rid of #3 and 4 because they are blah and you don't look half as good as you do in #1 and #13. #8 looks like some friend took it so get rid of that. #16 isn't as good as #10 so get rid of that too. Keep shooting and shoot more outside because you really shine in nature. And get some movement shots for christsakes or don't even bother telling people that you are a dancer.

Your bio is very concise. A little long but everything pretty much seems necessary.

My first thought is that you don't smile. Ever. Maybe you like it that way but I would like to see a softer side. More of #3. Your work is good but something is lacking...nothing is really WOW. I'm having that problem myself. Maybe shoot TF with a few amazing photographers to bump it up a bit. Or even pay them. I'm thinking T H Taylor could work wonders on you. Get a wardrobe stylist. Change your avatar, it doesn't do you justice. Keep shooting, you could be in the big leagues real quick.

Your runway shots should be the last photos in your port. They are necessary but unimportant.

#1 is horrible on many different levels. Lose it.

#4 and 5 rock.

#8 isn't good enough. Lose it.

#15 is amazeballs. Why isn't it at the top of your port? Why isn't it your avatar?

Smile once in awhile. Maybe shoot something soft in a field.

Thank you - it is always nice to get another person's opinion.  The #4 pictue was a take off of "Nude Descending a Staircase, No. 2.". A painting by Marcel Duchamp done in 1912.  The work is widely regarded as a Modernist classic and has become one of the most famous of its time.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nude_Desce … ase,_No._2

That's nice and all but if you have to explain it to people then you might want to think about it. At the end of the day most of us just see a girl walking down some and awesome staircase. To each their own!

You have a sh*t ton of photos. At least they are all in folders. Let's see if any aren't as awesome as the others...

In your clothed folder #6 should go. It's the same pose as #5 just a different location. Redundant. And #5 is cooler. Same folder...#10 is just bad. She looks like she's got cramps or something. It's boring. #64 is also boring. Boring is sometimes good, but this photo is just nothing special. Everything else in here should stay.

Nudes folder...#25 is also nothing special. Your work is so great that when a lame photo pops up it really sticks out.

Portraits folder...#4 should go. The background overtook the model. #21 is meh. #24 is so unattractive. And not in a good way. #27 is blah. #32 is meh.

Amazingly I can't find much to critique. You obviously know what you're doing and have a roster of supermodels who will get naked for you. Way to go!

WOW! Not really a B*tchy critique. More like I would have done that before but now “I’m a flower girl” type of critique. Your “Old” port images of breast grabbing, expression free images are your most entertaining images rather than the new at a distance images of a model with little to no interaction with the camera that are cold and uninviting. Now that’s a B*tchy critique!

But calling ones work and not just my own “Sleaze” or comparing a person’s work to skank type photos is more like insulting a person rather than just being B*tchy.  If mine and other peoples work feel like this to you I can only imagine what your thoughts are of the models who partake in such images.

This is a b*tch critique. If you want me to be nice and fluffy ask your mom what she thinks of your work. If you want to hear the truth then keep reading.

Almost all of these photos are bad. Your editing skills need work.

Keep #5 and make it your avatar. #45 can stay too but the editing needs help. #46. #49.#56. Everything else should go.

#11 is by far the worst photo in your port.

I can't even critique most of these because everything about them is bad. Bad lighting, bad model, bad composition, bad editing. Maybe you should take some classes dude. Right now you're just a GWC.

You just need to shoot more. These are all bad. Take some classes. Maybe have your models not try to be sexy because they all fail miserably at it. Start in a nice field or forest with naturally beautiful light, get a pretty girl (not a skanky girl!) have her wear a flowy dress or just above the knee nightgown. Make sure her makeup is not clownish. Direct her to not 'pose' but just move. Let me know when you've done that and I'll critique you again. I'll be nicer next time. This time you just need a kick in the *ss.

Photos- Most of these look like your friend took them. I do like that you have a shot of you doing the splits but your first order of business is to get photos that look professional of this. Your mom probably took that photo on your back porch girl and we can all tell. Like I said, most of them are just snapshots. They don't belong on Model Mayhem. They belong on Facebook. You're pretty. And flexible. Shoot with better people. Watch some videos on how to pose. H*ll, even watch ANTM.

Thank you for the time and effort you put into the critique - it was largely helpful -

I always have probs trimming the port -  your viewpoint caused me to take a different look at some images and I wound up removing about half of the ones you recommended....

Yes the bio is long - most if it is not a bio at all really but the relevant information and terms by which i do "business" if you can call it that through MM.  Yes most people do not read it, but it does cut down on some extra effort or possible drama when I can refer someone back to my profile to view a particular policy....

Oh - and I don't play the comment trade game -  if something got a lot of comments it just had its moment - however I do consider the number of comments to be largely irrelevant -

"Anything in any way beautiful derives its beauty from itself and asks nothing beyond itself. Praise is no part of it, for nothing is made worse or better by praise."  Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus c 170CE

Honey I'm the most easy going guy who has no problem telling people they need to work on their images or WOW them with praise but I will not insult someone who is trying to gain some knowledge and better themselves. If I don’t care for someone’s work I just say “This isn’t me cup of tea”.

Calling people names or insulting them for putting themselves out there can be expected in TV land by those who have made it but not from someone looking to make it???

Really you can dish this out:

GWC, hillbilly, Photos are crap,  sleaze , You can't pose, That's fine if you're good at it, but you're not, I think it's slightly amusing that you have a Facebook fan page when you don't even have good work yet. As well as some other things.

I don't understand your response given what I understand about the critique forum rules. The forum rules I thought were  clear and they are made so World War Three doesn't break out. She did warn she would be bitchy. So, the MM rules don't have anything to do with TV land. They are simply established so that if someone offers a critique you just follow the thread. You can disagree, but you can't critique the OP unless she asks for it. Moderators here can be strict about unsolicited critiques. Even when the circumstances may seen to call for them. If you look up my critique file, there is one, and it is brutal. Eviscerating. People wrote me emails but they, by and large , did not respond with a critique in the forum because I didn't ask for one. . . and it ran for a lot of pages.  I know, the rules seem strange, but she has operated by the rules. I hope you don't continue on this wild forum ride of yours and simply accept that she doesn't like your work. Not everyone has the same opinion as her on your work, right?  So, all is not lost?
