I'd like to do a Goldfinger or maybe a Cleopatra this Halloween, but i know with dancing and other certain...strenuos activities, I'm worried I won't be the only one wearing it...

I haven't done a search on this yet, forgive me.

Anyone know of a brand or perhaps has tips on.how to prime/ finish so it'll stay on me and not rub off too much pretty please?

The problem with gold is that it looks best when smeary and wet. It is possible to get more durable metallic makeup, but usually at the cost of shiny and pretty.

You can do Skin Illustrator airbrushed through with a very liberal spray of either Ben Nye Sealer through an airbrush, or Kryolan Fixing Spray in the metal can. But that is going to be very expensive to cover you whole body.

Your cheaper alternative would be Kryolan Aquacolor (applied with a sea sponge) followed by the same sealers.

It still will come off, especially if you're going to drink.

What EES said.  I'd also go with 1 of these options: use Mehron gold powder mixed with a good sealer (Ben Nye Final Seal is one).  You'll want quite a bit.  Mix it and apply it with a small sponge roller for speed.  Reserve some gold powder and apply it to the joints with a puff (neck, pits, elbows, knees, inner thighs, stomach, etc.

OR you can order alcohol based products.  I use Reel Creations for my bodypaint designs that have to last through obstacle course racing.  It is pricey and you will need an airbrush to apply it (you'd need 8 or more oz depending on your body's overall size and coverage).  I'd use their sealer and powder the joints as well.  You can email or call the company if you need to know how much you'll need.

You'll need baby oil or Neutrogena Body Wash to remove all of this.  Hopefully your shower isn't tiled!

I love those Mehron powders! I did a girl all silver with theirs:

There are indeed a few options. I paint bodies for a big Halloween dance party. I work in my studio with client traveling up to an hour to get to me...then back home or onto the party....so there are always durability concerns.

Mehron Powder mixed with Mehron Mixing Liquid (thread here noted final set) will stay put...but it does tend to crack in body folds after long wear, will rub off somewhat if your hugging folks and it not the top choice for overall comfortable wearing...it tends to dry and feel stiff on the skin.

If I am painting them with cake paint I use Kryolan Fixing Spray under and over Wolfe Hydrocolor body paint. Most often I use Endura alcohol airbrush makeup. Hands down airbrush is your best best. Both keep a shine.

A new option for linework is DIPS a hybrid body paint....very durable but not good for overall base.
