Some "photographer" is going around tagging every model with the information below.  It's got to be some kind of scam, I just haven't figured out the angle yet.  Some kind of "model driving a car" fetish if that even exists??

Hi, browsing your profile made me thinking that you would be a good choice for my projects. You got a nice natural, but beautiful look. Im inviting you to work with me. My projects are video clip productions and its all related to car driving. The videos are for my director’s application. I offer: simple work, steady payment and you can schedule your time. I am living in France, but we can work together, as i am sending scripts to you and you will get it filmed. The only requirement is that you need to have any car available for doing the videos. I am looking forward to hear from you. Contact me if you are interested in doing that and want more information.

Putting that in google leads me directly to the photographer who is doing the tagging, and it appears he's already been either removed or left the site.

So no worries.

Well, they are back, using a new profile.  I did search and found out there was already another thread about this (without any other information though).

Yeah, that other thread was way back in August.
They come and go, under different names, or different people using the same copy/pasted scams.

It's certainly weird to have a remote director of a video project, or that this can't be filmed in France for some reason.  However,  all you have to is get paid up front by PayPal for your fee only nd you should have no concerns.

+1

It might not be a scam, it might only be spam.

It's only a scam if you don't get paid.

i take the harsh (?) view that if someone tags me a comment about working together that they either aren't that serious, just tagging me because i tagged them, or its scam/pam

its why pm was invented, send me one, the last person who "commented" on a photo that he would "love to work with me while he was in town" missed me and I missed him because I sometimes just swoop in and see if the mail box has an envelope and if not, i just log off

when i saw his comment, it was too late, he had already left.
while its somewhat my fault for not checking comment notifications, the blame lays mostly at his feet, i would have seen a pm

There are accounts (And old accounts, as in accounts from last year) who have been posting this still there. Not only that, they're set up as "photographer accounts" who have nothing more than a handful of cell phone selfies as their pictures. How did that ever get approved?

as I got a little more curious and went back and gave it a once over again..what's more mysterious is that several models, who seemingly have good quality pictures in their portfolios, are commenting how awesome some extremely horrible on flash camera snapshots are and how much they'd want to work with them. When I view this port I feel like I'm viewing some kind of bizarro MM...
