And I like the color. It's a very dark brown (pretty much black) wig that to me looks natural...if I could get the thing glued down without gluing hair to my forehead. After prancing around in it for a few hours I thought "Wow I look cute in this wig" and then I got worried. I LOVE my red hair, but my friends and FB fans like me better with the dark brown. I meet photographers that say "I'm shooting with you BECAUSE of your red" then I have those that say "Lose the red, you look like an idiot".

I'm torn. I could just take out my extensions, buy another wig, dye it red, and have both. I don't know, I can't make up my mind.

Anyone want to help make up my mind?

I do like the black, but I've had the red so long it became a part of me. I think I might just ditch the extensions, buy another wig, and just change them out depending on what the client wants.

That's probably the way to go. IMHO

If you are looking to get more work then variety will help you do that. If you can live without the "extra" opportunities then do what you want to do. I like both the red hair and the straight black wig.

Variety is nice. Everyone thinks I wear a wig anyway

It is. That was what was so relieving about not modeling full-time anymore. I didn't have to live my life to please anyone but myself.

I like them both, a lot.

I have hair color sitting in my closet I haven't tried yet. It's redder than I normally use but I think I am going to dig it. I can't wait. As far as I know no one has ever booked me for my hair color or even the length. I'm a lot more blah than you though;)

I don't like the red and would be more likely to shoot you with that more natural color

I think the red is striking. Most people can't pull it off, but I think it looks striking. The dark brown is nice, but a little boring. Then again this is coming from someone who changes her hair colour once a month, so don't listen to me.

I like the wig. The extra length adds something too. But don't mind me, I have a severe long hair fetish. Mine is down to the middle of my back.

I don't see a problem. You have your red hair for times you want red, and you now have this wig for times you want a natural look. You can have both.

Actually I just sold the wig on eBay. Posted it this morning and it sold in about 2 hours. I might get another one though but that all depends on the demand for black hair that I receive. I just did two shoots with the black wig today so I'll add them to my port. If I get more paid requests for the black hair then I'll simply order a new one.

I could get longer red extensions. The wig I ordered was 20", I think this is more of 22" (not complaining).

And don't worry, I have a long hair fetish too (for myself anyway big_smile)

Lol yeah I thought the wig color was boring but EVERYONE on my fan page (well everyone that speaks English) said "GO BLACK GO BLACK, black looks better on you, black shows you're more confident" it sort of hurt lol.

My hair was short and pink at one point...and navy blue.

The blue must have looked amazing.

If fans/men are preferring the black then for your career I'd do that for a little while. It might get you booked more since most photographers are males as well.

Haha. The only thing is that I hate wearing a wig for more than a few hours.

Yeah I try putting up with it for as long as it takes. It wasn't as annoying when I was bald though.

Bras are a necessary evil when I want to look like I have boobs. I only buy the padded ones. lol But when I'm just in sweat pants and such? No bra. Free titties. big_smile

Every chance I get I go without bras, wigs, anything that I find unbearable.

I wore the black wig this passed weekend to Dallas. All 3 photographers I shot with (paying) said they wanted the red. I couldn't give them red because the black wig was glued to my forehead. They dealt with it but said I look much better with the red. I talked to a few other photographers as well who are eager to work with me and they weren't too excited by the black hair but would agree to work with me if I decided to go that route.

The fans who aren't doing much but drooling over my naked photos only like the black because it makes me look like I'm jail bait and because it flows down to my butt (I took a mini poll). I guess they just like 16 year olds wearing panties (creepy I know). I was thinking of getting extra long red extensions since I myself like longer hair.

Fans don't count unless they are also paying photographers;) I would ask photographers ahead of time what they prefer and plan accordingly.

I love my bras. I sleep in them too. It's more uncomfortable to wake up with my tit stuck under my arm pit. I couldn't imagine NOT wearing a bra unless I'm naked. Even my bikinis have push up padding in them.

My fans are cheap asses, they won't even buy a $5 fan sign (me writing their name on my body and sending them a signed photo of it).

I talked to a few paying photographers that I had and will work with and they pretty much grinned their teeth at the black hair. Some even said they only want to work with me BECAUSE of the red hair (and my smile but that's something different).

You're not ever going to be able to please everyone when you're modeling a lot.

Just build a "brand," a look people associate with your persona, and keep it consistent.

My red has pretty much became "me". People know "me" by the red. Sure the black hair made a few guys wet in the pants but they wouldn't pay even if I begged. So I'll just be a short alt model and stay happy in my limited genre.
