Of course you titled this as a Mazzucco vs. Richardson thread, so regardless of what you are saying about "carefully reading" it is still a veiled attack on Richardson no matter if you are comparing his work or character. You are still comparing one or the other to each other.  That is not necessary.  Mazzucco's work can stand alone without the comparison.  You need not bring up Richardson's name at all.
