Has anyone used this before? I was browsing it randomly and was curious if there was anyone on MM using it.

Out of curiosity I was wondering if photographers or models were using it and did find quite a few listings from all kinds of things..retouchers are much more common..web services and design work in general but there are some photographer related listings, and models.

Photographer listings, in no particular order

..anyone on here used it effectively to promo themselves? Have a strategy they'd like to share for making it effective?

I knew about the site but haven't tried it. My previous trade was graphic designer/web developer but $5 was a bit low for the amount of work..

Do those guys make money upselling? or repeat business?

If I could find a model to shoot for $2.50, then I'd do it!~

Good question, I'm not sure..I've only started considering it & am curious to see or hear from anyone who is making it work.. in any shape or form.. worth having an open mind and searching through some case studies.

I like a challenge..how to make such a low price point make business sense.. that's how I spend my weekends big_smile

I have used it for some copy writing, a voice over, editing (written) and translations before.  Works well for me, but I think it depends what you need done.

I will give my views on this for a Fiver.

Pounds mind you, not some cheap dollars, I'm worth every penny.

It's hit and miss. Generally I've been happy with them for a variety of different things. The problem is very few people who sell a service on there are able to be found in six months. It's almost impossible to make any real money off the site so most of the suppliers are college kids wanting to make a few easy bucks. Once the allure wears off, they move on.

I've thought about putting myself on there, gogo dancing to a song of the client's chosing.

Stipulation would that it would have to actually be dance-able.
