I am needing to take some photos of my daughter to send in to a modeling agency and I need to figure out what is best for pictures. Is a white background best, a variety of nature also, and texture?

What is best? She is a dancer as well, and wants to model like her friend does (I have explained the commitment). So we are going to try it.

The agency saw a picture of her and asked us to send in more shots. What are your recommendations overall?

Since it is different for every agency, I'd ask the best friend's parent what they did. Or the agency themselves.

Make a short list of agencies and check out their talent board to see the type and style of shots.

I know Multiple people that have children with this agency and they get amazing jobs for kids (Hallmark, Gap, Macy's, and multiple other corps). Their pictures on the website is usually random, and different. Nothing on white, but this is to get an interview with them, so I didn't know if it was different. I will ask one of the mamas what they think I should do. Thanks for the advice!

If you are just submitting  for consideration then a simple headshot against a solid color wall will suffice. They just want to see what the kid looks like nothing fancy.

if she already was offered a contract and they want the headshot for her compcard then something like this is what they will ask for

My son has been signed with multiple agencies since he was 4.

Or look at images on the agency site as well, for reference smile

EDIT: sorry redundant.

He's as good looking as his mother (in a masculine way).
