It would be nice when a models says, "the best way to contact me is to e-mail me" she would list her e-mail address.

Not just a model thing unfortunately It would be nice when users in general listed their email if that's the best way to contact them xD

Sensing a bit of sarcasm here.. But if you just send a message through MM she receives an email stating someone sent her a message. But I agree that if she wants direct emails, a mailaddress should be provided XD, kind of obvious I think...

It's actually not as obvious as you'd think considering the amount of spam that a model (or any other member) can end up getting by listing a direct email account on this or any site. OP I agree that if a model tells you the best way to contact them in a PM is via email then they should certainly provide an email address BUT if it's a statement on their profile page, just contact them MM messaging may be used as a first line of contact until a shoot is being discussed.

Thanks for a particularly good, on-topic post Tiffany. Actually if you follow the forums regularly you'll soon see that the bulk of the scam and creepy offers that models receive come from outside MM via personal email addresses. That's because non-members can see the profiles and do regularly contact those models who list their personal emails. For that reason, most of the old timers recommend NOT posting personal emails. Fine to give the personal email after doing your due diligence, but much wiser to use MM's PM for the initial contact. That way, if a scammer does get past the gatekeepers, the model can CAM the message and if need be, the Mods can "escort" the scammer out the door. And as others have said, the member's My Stuff defaults to sending a notification to the member's personal email anyway, so even without the email address you message will generally get through.

This! Mayhem Profiles are visible to every scammer & pervert in the world. I believe that, rather than a model displaying their email, they should make 1st contact inside MM, and then be selective about who gets their email. People wanting it too urgently, right at the start, can be a red flag. I also usually suggest to new models to create a new email, (without their name in it) to use strictly for modeling. That way their personal email remains personal.
