Hi!

Well, the title says it all. Please take a look at my portfolio and let me know if you have any tips or feedback for me.
For example:
What are things I should work on?
What are my strenghts?
Are you missing something in my portfolio?
What kind of shoots should I plan to add?
Is my 'about me' clear enough?
What are ways to improve/develop myself further in modelling, or should I just stick with TFP?
Would you work with me? Why (not)? (What kind of shoot would we do? ;P)
Or you can tell me which photo in my port you like best, or which you think are better replaced.

In contrast with the existence of my MM-account, I started modelling less than a year ago. I've done about 15-20 shoots now, and trying to build a diverse and versatile portfolio.
I am very thankful to the photographers who already accepted me in front of their camera's and provided me with nice portfolio-material! smile
And I hope a lot more will follow! ^-^

All feedback is appreciated big_smile!
You don't have to answer all of the above ofcourse! (Unless you feel like it tongue)
I'd just like to hear what you think.
Thankyou!

1. work on natural smiles
2. your height and skin appear to be your strengths
3. missing in your port is polaroids/unedited face and figure shots
4. I think you should add editorials
5. several things in your "about me" could be worded better but it does get the point across
6. I think you should always consider TFP with the right people, work on genuine expressions
7. if we were closer in proximity I'd work with you in a TF arrangement for a fashion or high fashion shoot
8. your best, a very beautiful pose and shot

what I think you should remove

neither of these are flattering poses and they don't help your portfolio

Personally, I really like this shot and the use of location.  your pose is strong, framing is great and the tones are lovely.

Generally, I like your connection with the camera and the use of your figure is very fluid, obviously using your dancing background with confidence.  Continue to play with the arms as the line and shapes you create a great.

too much aware of being photographed, to much posing, emotions are not convincing.....mediocre photography , hope you find better photographers.....very stale poses and emotions....most images are rather registered instead of  "created"...

you do have the right figure, hands are nice...i do think you have potential...just you need to find better teams (including mua's)...but you just started smile....

You will find better teams, as your figure is really very good and suitable...

So....focus on quality!!

enjoy!

@ Timothy Bell:
Thankyou for all your answers! This is really helpful. I'm gonna practice on facial expressions (and body included ofcourse) and see if I can arrange shoots that fill the 'gaps' smile.

@ Mark:
Thankyou for the compliment big_smile. I will let you know when I have new ones up!

@ MJArtPhotography:
Thankyou. Yes, I was trying to match my poses with the environment. smile

@ Herman van Gestel:
Thankyou for your feedback!  I will take it with me in future shoots. Going to work on my posing (and not make it look 'posed') and expressions.
Not all my poses are the most commonly used poses I think (I wasn't trying to copy poses anyway. Tried it though, but it looks silly on me). But I can agree that they're probably not the most creative poses you have ever seen, they are relatively easy.
I hope I'll find better teams too! I'd love to take it up a notch.

keep the top row, delete the rest. i may have a degree in photography and be doing that side of work now, but i have been a model for 5 years. and in that i have learned, there is no way you can ask for critique on your portfolio as if you can do better. you either have a good look or you dont. to put it bluntly, either you're hot or you're not. the rest is up to the photographer. each photo is how they took it. how they lit it. and how they edited it. so whoever took the shots on the top - keep them. whoever took the shots in the rest of your portfolio - never work with them again.

Thankyou for your input.
But you're saying that I can't improve myself as a model and that the quality of the photos are totally up to the photographers?

you either have a good look or you dont.

True, I can't change myself, and I'm not considering plastic surgery tongue. Got to work with what I've got.
I can rely on the photographers to direct me and find the right angle/timing/lighting, but I feel there is more that I can do to try to take things to the next level. And asking for feedback on my portfolio gives me direction on what to work on.
Ofcourse I give my best in every shoot, but there's always room for improvement right? smile

its also up to you for figuring out your best poses and angles. but all in all, the only thing the models can improve on is taking the direction. and portraying any emotion through facial expressions as per the photographers direction for the photos. other than that, the feel and over all image is left to the photographer. ive modeled for american eagle and the regional scout for the abercrombie quarterly and from being on both sides of the camera i can say there is little to the modeling side once you get it all down. they say in looking for models, they look for great faces. the body doesnt matter because that can always be improved by working out. but you cant change the face - without surgery and even then it could fail. once you know your best poses and facial expressions, just let the photographer now, and then do your best to follow instructions.

First row is top, movement and strong expression seems to work very well for you.

I also like those:

Nice run. The light under the right arm is troubling. I suppose its the dress reflection.

The pose creates nice body shadows. The blur and sharp black and white black board is catchy.

nice smile

Hard to critique things like expression and posing, because it depends on the photographers editing and also retouching.  You could have done 100 other poses not seen.  You're a natural beauty, just work with better photographers at the skill level of this photo:

@ Nephilum Photography:
Thanks. Yup. I'll just keep working my best.

@ Philippe Lewicki:
Thankyou ^-^
I like movement shoots, feels more like I'm giving it all! Probably because of my dancing-experience. tongue

@ Billy Vegas:
Totally true. And thankyou for the compliment smile.
