Images I can use right away?
What is a good site that is affordable that already has images that you can use and not have any copywrite issues? Some sites are 69 dollars for 5 images a day! I really need to find this... Jun 02 14 04:16 pm Link copyright Jun 02 14 05:32 pm Link They all have a copyright and there are not going to be many that offer free for commercial use. Plenty have minimal fees so the artists actually get paid for their work, sort of like most of us here like to do. Jun 02 14 05:43 pm Link I do not know, but you may find at http://www.bluevertigo.com.ar/ Jun 02 14 06:46 pm Link What kind of usage are you wanting? Jun 02 14 06:55 pm Link Are you saying that $12 per image is a bad deal or a good deal? If you think that is expensive for commercial use of an image then I can't help you. How much do YOU think it should cost to use someone else's work for your purpose? Jun 02 14 08:33 pm Link KeithDewey3 wrote: I am a struggling clothing store. I am 22 and I put my entire life savings into my dream. I help people whenever I can. I've emailed of 200 artists that sell their prints for 3000+ asking if I paid them could I use their images to promote something that I KNOW THAT THEY SUPPORT. I really need to get my name out and stuff so I can pay rent this month. Some said, " 100 per image" or "maybe if you had talent and could draw this wouldn't be a problem." I thought this community helped others? my store: Jun 03 14 09:57 am Link What exactly are you trying to accomplish? What kind of images do you want, and how do you want to use them? How is it that buying other people's images would help your store? I'm assuming you need pictures of your designs, but it's kinda hard to tell what you want. If that's the case, consider trying to build up a working relationship with photographers and models who are willing to do TF shoots (or, maybe even barter for your clothing), and build up the print portfolio you need. If you find the right kinda crowd that likes your designs, someone will take the chance. (Caveat: I don't know how prolific that "crowd" might be in DC). I've got a couple of on-going relationships with designers that works out much like that: I approach them with a concept, ask if they've got any dresses that need to be shot, get a model and stylist and everyone's happy. All TF, too. Jun 04 14 06:50 am Link I guess I am as confused as others, how are stok images going to help you? Marketing a business requires a plan and people don't work for free unless it's for a charity, so you have a lot of challenges ahead of you. Jun 04 14 08:13 am Link BTW. I suggest you put the link to your website on your MM profile. You would be surprised by the number of site referrals I get from MM to my website. Jun 04 14 08:18 am Link I can give you free images if you can give me free clothes Jun 04 14 08:19 am Link BARTER, BARTER, BARTER!!!!! Nobody (or very few) gives their time or goods away for free, but TONS of people barter all the time. I am an artist (a pastel painter-see my port), and over the years I have bartered for: At least a 1/2 dozens studios Apartment rent many times A 2003 Chevy Express Van 2500 Dental work-my girlfriend has a $25,000. smile thanks to bartering, and I finally started going. Condo fees where I live Doctor bills Nude models Clothed models And many other odds and ends Go talk to photographers, artists, designers, and see who will barter for exactly what you need. Most will barter on an even retail price to retail price for their services or goods. THERE IS EVEN A LIST HERE ON MODEL MAYHEM ABOUT BARTERING!!!! Jun 04 14 08:36 am Link Including more specifics in what you are wanting will help this discussion. -What do you want? Stock images? Photographers to take images of your product? -How will the images be used? Website and social networks only? In a catalog? Selling prints? -Do you have a budget? What are you thinking in terms of compensation? It is extremely unlikely that anyone will shoot or provide images that you intend to use commercially (for advertisement, selling the images or other) for free. They'll want to be paid or you can barter clothing. Edit: If you're wanting photographs of the clothing coming in, you might want to check with the dealer first and see if they have stock images available of their product. Jun 04 14 11:29 am Link |
