I am relatively new to the world of modeling and have only a few shoots under my belt. I am about to do my first secy glamour shoot and was hoping for any advice. Specifically what to wear as it is set to be an out door shoot and also what to charge. The shoot is two hours and I also get a copy of my images. The photographer has asked me to give him a reasonable rate but I have only had a few other paid shoots and am not sure what to charge.

uh,...

Assuming the images are for the guy with the cameras personal collection, discuss with the photographer some clothing options based on wardrobe you own.
Or if its not for his collection, then talk to whoever the director is.

For wardrobe we can't help you other than to say; if the shoot is outdoors, around public you may draw some unwanted attention.
So keep in mind you may need a look out, or find a secluded location that complements your outfit.

I don't know your market, but for the 2 hours anything around $40-$60 (USD) is more than reasonable for a newbie model with selfies / low quality images in their portfolio.
Most photogs would do trade only.

If I was the photographer, and I was paying you, I would want to dictate what you wore (within the parameters of your wardrobe limits, of course).

Thank you both very much, I did reply to the photographer asking what he would like me to wear and he offered to pay me what I saw fit as a reasonable rate along with a copy of my photographs. I was mainly asking for suggestions as to pay rate since I know I am new and definitely don't want to over charge. With the clothing he basically left it at sexy glamour shoot with whatever you feel comfortable in. My main real concern is that it is out doors and do not want to be over exposed but also do not want to mess up. I appreciate any advice very much smile

You might want to try browsing models in your area. Some may have rates posted on their profiles. I bet that most of these models wouldn't mind if you asked what they think a fair rate would be for you to charge.
I do know that in the US, in big cities, that the very best, experienced, nude models (think ex Playboy models) rarely charge more than $100/hr, so that wouldn't pretty much be the max rate. Smaller communities tend to have lower rates as are the rates for non-nude models and models with less experience.

Like others have said, ask the photographer for inspirational images.

Are you shooting in lingerie / undies, or glamour as in dresses and bikinis?

I haven't looked at your port, but I'd say something along the lines of $25/hr might be reasonable for someone new to modeling, if not for TF. But I don't know what the photographer wants to shoot exactly.

Also, what is the motivation for the photographer wanting to pay a newbie, especially if he or she is more experienced? Is there a commercial model release involved?

I'm not saying getting paid at any experience level is wrong by any means. Just curious.

Only shoot what you're comfortable in. Sticking up for yourself is not a "mess up". Know your limits going in.

Thanks guys, all of your advice is really helpful I have messaged the photographer again asking him to be more specific in what type of clothing he is expecting me to wear and as for compensation I definately think I will ask him what he feels is reasonable smile
