I really like her. On the subject of Brazil's supermodels I also really admire Marlon Teixeria 's work ..perhaps you will too. But I don't think "beauty" goes hand in hand with appreciating the art of modeling, if that makes sense.

I think Kate Upton looks like a highly uneducated white trash queen. But I'm just a no body on the internet eating fish and chips.

Ugly is as ugly does. What I like in a "super model" is character (physical). I see this woman on TV (won't say the name) and she's, well..., quite sexy. She's an economist so she's not out to set a beauty record or even model. What I find interesting in watching her is when she speaks her mouth goes slightly crooked to one side. Slightly crooked teeth, mole somewhere "different", ears that don't quite get covered by the hair.... oh well, I like different. Just me.

The thing I don't like about Gisele Bundchen is just that she seems so damn smug all the time. She's got a smug, entitled look about her (in my opinion) that really grates on my nerves.

In Brazil there are SO MANY kinds of beauty. I'm happy not everyone likes the same thing. There's a lid for every pot.

I guess everyone has a right to think what they will, but the idea of starting a thread simply to complain about not liking someone strikes me as an exercise in self-toxicity. So, in the interest of what is suggested here, I am making a blatant attempt at thread hijacking, and wish to turn this one on its ear. I've seen Gisele off and on, and she is a pretty woman, though I don't follow media outlets to really know anything about her. I know there are a lot of women in the public arena that I would like to photograph, and I'm gonna forget most of them now that I want to list 'em, but here's a few... (The only 'requirement' is that they sit for me and my own style of portraiture: my crappy little Pentax P3, black and white film, natural light, no makeup/hair stuff, etc. Laughing at my jokes during a session isn't required, but certainly appreciated...) > Gwyneth Paltrow > Elle Fanning > Jennifer Garner > Jennifer Simpson > Sophia Loren > Monica Bellucci > Jodie Foster > Jennifer Lopez > I know there's more, I'll have to add them as they come to mind... I know that anyone has the right to rip apart my list, and I certainly don't wish to only photograph celebs, just trying to keep in the anti-context of the OP).

Apparently, you have a very long list of famous women whom you find unattractive.

Can't be done, It just can't. It's like telling some one their opinion is factually wrong. Again, it can't be done, by the very nature of the argument's structure.

I'm not a big fan of Giselle either but you can't deny that she makes a great photo. I personally loooooooooooove Adriana Lima. Pleeeze somebody introduce me to her. <3 I've shot a few girls that one would say have odd features but my goodness they are beautiful and amazing to photograph. And I'm sure we have known beautiful women that just don't look as beautiful in a photograph.

If you have any future aspirations to become a model scout or opening your own agency I would advise against it

How she manages her business and personal financial affairs is really not my business anyway. In fact, I wouldn't mind a few helpful tips on how to pay more of my own relentless piles of bills that kick my butt on a regular basis. What's more important to me is her positive quality as a human being. If she's a nice person, I would be delighted to take pictures of her nose. I would do it for free, just because I like taking pictures of noses or anything else.

Its pretty basic really According to the internet Gisele is presently worth $290 million dollars Lets turn back the clock say 20 years and put you in the position of being the model scout or agency director that passed on signing her because of your "rigid requirements " Clearly You would have missed the Big Banana Boat

I'd have to completely disagree with this, since when does it matter what kind of personality a model has, or if she's a kind person? The only things that matter to me is how she connects with me through the lens, and quite simply if she's hot as fuck! The rest just follows through after that!

My main problem with Brazilian supermodels is that they seem to always look like they came straight from Sweden. Brazil has the LARGEST Black population of any country in the world (outside of the African continent.) I'd love for more Afro-Brazilians to get even a tenth of the shine that Gisele, Raquel, and Alessandra get. That being said, Gisele and her large nose are fabulous.

I'm happy for you I prefer Neanderthals, but who's counting? And I like models with good personalities too. It helps tremendously to get a great picture. More fun=better pictures, at least in my book.
