Do whatever you two decide on tbh.

If I hire a model it's usually to experiment, I don't mind sharing the images but I wouldn't make it part of the deal so to speak. I would take longer than usual to edit too, mostly because it defeats the purpose of hiring if I have to rush to do it too.

A little generosity of giving a model a few images from a shoot is not going to hurt you. If your eventual market (magazine or whatever) demands exclusivity, the model may lose out. But even most of them appreciate when a model posts a shot or two and says "Look, I'm in such-and-such a magazine!"

Generating good will seldom creates problems. Being tight-fisted just might.
