Title says it all, I started last month. If you check out my profile I have four images, and those four were from my first  payed photo shoot. I know I have much to work on, aside from looks much goes into being a model. I know my poses are very minimum right now, I also lack facial expressions as well. But from what I do have posted could a few of you give me an opinion? I see myself under commercial print, what do YOU think?

The thing that concerns me is, once you say you'll drop money I feel any photographer is willing to shoot you and give you confidence by saying "these are coming out great"..."Wow, I have some superb shots here!" and so on, basically I'm not sure if the guy was sugar-coating it or I actually did a decent job for my first time.

Yes you could work as a model and your photos are decent for a first shoot.

These are okay, and enough to show to agencies / casting agents. You'll want to be careful about choosing ones that will make you look taller, these don't. I'd say commercial work, true fashion agencies are looking for quirky over classic.

read up on the image submission requirements for major ad agencies. They do not require professional photographs (with all the poses and airbrushed imagery). Just follow their instructions and go for their open casting calls. I won't spend money creating professional pics.

Your clothes are not ironed in these pics! Even when you take polaroids take care of that. That is a big no no! I am no expert, I feel you are very young and the photographer aged you in these pics. you should be doing fun, quirky energetic photo-shoots.

You look great Mark, you definitely have potential IMO.
I don't often work with male models, but I'd certainly include you in my work if given the chance. I'm sure there would be agencies out there that will give you a go.
Good luck.

Mark you look younger then 18, which could be a good thing.  You should try commercial modeling.  At 5'9 your to short for fashion.  I would drop the first image with your hand in your hair.  That and holding the jacket do nothing for you.  I would be careful of looking too feminine.  Have fun.  With each shoot you will improve.  There are going to be shoots that you will get one image that works.  Others, nothing.  And then there will be shoots that wow, look at all the pictures I can use.  Don't fill your book with lots of iffy images.  Less is better.  You want only the ones that make you look amazing.  Don't put more then one image of you in the same outfit.  Learn to edit.  We can go on and on about the does and don'ts, just remember it will all come in time.  R-

This is the best set of feedback I've ever received! I'm listening to all your advice to grow as an individual in this field, I am so thankful for the several replies and anything helps. I take it as constructive criticism smile and I am 18 years of age so I have time.
