Study images you like that were shot in natural light. Then try and figure out how they were done and replicate them for practice. As for settings, it varies per shoot and style.

Look at your responses to what you posted in the Photography forum... you clearly aren't ready to be taking paid shoots yet. Cancel the shoot, go back to school, learn some more and do trade shoots until you know what you're doing and are more confident in doing so...
