I just finished a browse of Casting Call for Photographer(s) in my area.  Here are some of the things I read:
Model (F) - Wants photographer to give her the pictures and be paid for her time.  (In fairness, there was a guy model doing something pretty much like.)
Group Shoot - Number of models not given.  Location unclear.  Amount of time, not specified.  Pay not mentioned.  (But! 'you can keep the pictures...')
Model - headline says nude - text says no nudity.  (Really.)
Multiple promises of the POSSIBILITY of a magazine publication.  No magazine ever named.  No other compensation suggested.
Offer to participate in a group shoot - no number of models or photographers mentioned.  Time:  "Soon!" and, Probably not really bad another said, "Ongoing."
Sigh.

create your OWN opportunities and more good things will happen.

You get what you push so focusing on the bad side will give you more bad stuff!

Chin up and become the master of your career!

Tweak and run with that "golden girl" idea......I'd want to be golden.

+1

Don't focus on bogus castings (there will always be many of those).  Browse for models in your area and send pms, and/or post your own Availability Notice here:

Casting calls asking for pay are not allowed and can be reported. That's what availability notices are for.

+1 so true!

It never ceases to amaze me that someone would want me to pay them to work for them.
