I’m looking for photographers or painters who are specialized in images of military vehicles like tanks, trucks, ships, airplanes, etc. Preferably US or UK military. The images i am looking for must be realistic and clearly recognizable and could serve as a nice memory for the people who served on them.
If you know such artist, please give me his/her website.

Thanks!  smile
Mischa

I'm not looking for random images on stock but for the artist him/herself who is specialized in making them.

I bought the negatives of a retired US Air Force crew member to licence as vintage stock.

For the most part it really depends on what your usage will specifically be.  Even then I have to keep the best of the best locked down as many are never before seen or published aerial, plane to plane shots.  Those shots are simply more valuable before they go out into the world.

There are many others like the shot below however that might be of use depending on usage and licence.

Considering of course that you are even interested in aircraft shots.

Yes, but it's vacation week and they need to be placed where you can see them.  I'm not home to do that right now.

I am currently active duty in the US Navy stationed on a ship.  If you give me more details on exactly what you are looking for (ships), i can see about getting the images you are looking for.

EDIT: These will all be current military not vintage.  This is one I took about a month ago during a live firing.

It wont embed for some odd reason...

I'm more looking for photos/paintings where the whole vehicle is visible incl. the name or number. It has to be a memory of their time serving on this vehicle for instance.

Ok, I see what you are getting at.  That was just an example from my ship (which is only a few years old).  Pm me if you would like me to take pictures of the ships that are here.  I can get them with names and hull numbers. I am always up for helping out veterans.

Not of this work. Military Photography is controlled by the government. Anything we take must be released. The site from where these are posted is official released images by military photographers. If you want to see more of what I've done, go to defenseimagery.mil and type in my name in the search window.

Mark McCall posts some amazing art done with scale models on Photocamel, but I don't see him as a member here.

Ok. I did not know that. In The Netherlands it is not that controlled. We have artists who are specialized in this kind of stuff.
