Well, honestly, I had a full-blown panic attack while driving home from the gym this afternoon. Complete with my arms going numb. This is the first one I've had since 2005.

I had some dental work done this morning, and I get a weird reaction from the anesthetic. It makes my heart pound right after I get it shot into my gums. This is only the second filling I've ever gotten, but I hope the panic attack was just some bad effects from the dental shot taking awhile to wear off. I don't know. Last time, I felt like I'd been punched in the chest all day afterward, but woke up the next day feeling okay.

Or that could just be because I have bad anxiety, and stress out over everything, including simple dental work and therefore manifest symptoms. Who knows.

That's what I'm thinking about.

It's not that straight forward. I wish it was.

I was thinking about Koryn's response because I too have a similar reaction with dental injection of pain killers. In addition to those symptoms I also get very warm, I almost start sweating. The whole thing is unnerving.

I've read that old school dental shots have nor-epinephrine, or cause the release of that chemical in the body, or something along those lines. That's a stimulant, I think, or something that increases respiration rate/heart beat.

I also had this weird feeling up the right side of my head, like a unilateral headache afterwards, that lasted all day. It was exacerbated when I leaned back, or bent over. The filling was on a molar, on the upper right side.
