They are 'broadcast only,' right?

If you 'like' one you see what they say, but not vice versa? Something like that?

Yeah, a page doesn't have a feed. It can "like" and comment on things though.

I was wondering because one fairly well-known model liked a photo of hers I took and there was this ripple effect of likes from her friends, whereas another pretty much equally popular model did the same from her fan page and it caused no similar secondary attention to the photo.

Yeah, if someone "likes" something, it shows up to in their friend's feed "X liked Y." If a page likes something, it doesn't show up anywhere.

They suck ass, big time!

Here's what happened to me 1.5 weeks ago.

I had my FB profile for... well, I think about 8 years now... I shared a casting call for a fashion show of a friend of mine, cross posted it in many local (NYC) photography and modeling related groups... someone must have been pissed at me and reported my profile.

That was during the course of Friday. Friday evening, when I tried to log in, my profile was suspended, I was accused of using a private profile for commercial purposes.

FB didn't give me a chance to object, but two choices, either to convert my profile into a fan page, or to lose everything.

After conversion, I have lost permanently over 2,200 contacts, 90% being fashion industry people, colleagues and friends.

I lost access to all my groups that I started, although I gained access with my new profile, but... all my comments, likes, group affiliations, tags and posts I had ever made in Facebook over the years, got ALL wiped clean... lost it all.

The page only allows you post, and to pay for promotion of your page, but you can't contact anybody... they have to contact you... you are shit out of luck.

It probably only works when you have your private profile linked and controlling your page and that, I won't be able to do... unless I find a way to link them.

I am not a fan of a page at this time... maybe it will change... but you can't interact.

I said this would happen when nobody, wanted to pay £1 to be on it they'd knuckle down and screw anybody with a business.

They tried similar on a friend of mine. They objected, able to point that at least fifty per cent iof their page was not related to business. So I guess you have to be 'the person' as well as the business. Difficult when you are a creative and live your work.

They do have a feed.  Pages and can like other pages which then show in their news feed.

If her fan page doesn't have many followers, then not many will notice.

OR...when a page likes an image, it may not share that information like it would if you do it from a personal page (and have it still enabled).

It's the second thing, because the fan page currently has 210,571 likes
