I asked people to post something about their work they are proud of and something they'd like to develop.

This is critique, right?

It's important that we not always focus on what's wrong with our work but also what's right?

This would offer an opportunity for others to consider their strengths and weaknesses in the same areas and maybe make suggestions to one another about improving.

What did I do wrong?

When you start a critique thread, you start it for critique on YOUR work from others, or invite others to ask for critique from YOU.  You were opening up a free-for-all for everyone to critique everyone.  That could become a big mess very quickly.

Would be nice to get a note from the mod explaining why when they remove stuff.
