American Jim Foley, who was captured by islamic extremists in Syria in 2012 was beheaded by ISIL in Iraq.  His last words and the beheading were captured in a video distributed by ISIL.

Just a couple of thoughts:
1.  My heart goes out to his family.
2.  He was captured in Syria and held for almost two years before this abomination occurs.  This shows how messy it's going to be dealing with ISIS and ISIL--effectively our "allies" in this fight become Iran and Bashir al-Assad...ugh!
3.  There's another photojournalist that ISIL claims to have captive and is up next.
4.  It's a very dangerous world out there for photojournalists and the press--whether you're in Syria or Missouri.

yeah...in relation to this story...I don't think Missouri counts.  Anyone being kidnapped or murdered by a faceless bunch of crazy people?
