Please be careful posting casting calls. I had a guy show up for casting, decided not to do it, next thing I know , I am being sued . MM does not care about this nor its users protection, so make sure before casting, you have sign a contract.

You may need to give a bit more detail about the circumstances.

Likely it was your business practices that started the problem and it would have happened if you were on MM or not. Where in the TOS does MM say it "protects" the members from anything? I do, however, offer a $10,000 pay-in-advance protection policy if you wish to enroll.

What kind of contracts do you want to have a prospective model sign before he or she comes to the casting, which is a selection process! It sounds like you are an employer at a big company, and you have an ad out in the newspapers that you are looking for candidates to fill a position... then, you have applicants... and you get sued for not chosing every jobseeker... or... you decided to fill the position... from within the company! Do you have more information?

I don't understand how or why you are being sued.. But model mayhem is like social networking for people in the industry, they aren't responsible for what you or others do when you connect with someone else on the site. They are only responsible for content on the site and what happens on the site.

Very interested in the text of the lawsuit. I think that will clear things up very quickly, and prevent 10 pages of speculative comments.

Odd if only time was lost. In Germany....can a person sue for wasting time? In which case....I spent time reading this thread, so I think I may have a case (kidding)

So make sure you have a signed contract, My story doesn't make sense, because it's missing a lot of details. Which is what your story is missing, a lot of details. Without the details, we have no idea what you are talking about. So we have to disregard what you are saying, Until we can understand fully.

Hmmm . . . OP with 1 post, it's a controversial statement with no backup facts and now OP is absent from the conversation. I smell a troll.

I know a guy who ate a shrimp once and MM did nothing about it. MM does not care about shrimp or protecting shrimp, so make sure you wear sun block.

What went wrong from there? Jen

I think we are missing A LOT of details here. So before harpooning what MM cares about and what they don't please be more detailed.
