I received this email from the obviously spoofed address of a MM model.  (in the email her last name had been misspelled in both instances.) 

I called her, apparently her account was compromised while she was using a public WiFi network. 

So, don't send money to "friends" stranded overseas without confirming their whereabouts and consider what you are doing while connected on a non-secure network.

Lol the scenario in this one made me laugh, it's just soooo believable.  I know that whenever I get robbed in an vacation hot spot like Turkey the first person I go to to ask for money is a random person I shot with.

Even funnier is that they think photographers would have $2,500

I had this scam sent to me in the name of a friend on my e-mail list. It stated he was stranded in NY. It was one of the funniest scams I had been hit with, as the person in question was sitting not 10 feet away from me enjoying a rather nice malt whisky.
