August 10, 2009 9:05pm I love this shot...it reminds me very much of the short film Geist, which was made through stop-motion photography. Beautiful and pensive...
August 17, 2006 12:25pm Spooky & ghost like. I love it. I love the feel of this picture and the grain is awesome. Looks like those old pictures. This is all sorts of awesome =)
January 07, 2006 7:19pm F-ing brilliant shot!!! It's so nice to see film! I was just about to sell my 8x10 but now... I just may keep it; way to screw me up Bruce!!! :)
September 19, 2005 7:25am This shot strikes me as slightly disquieting - but in a very peculiar, pleasantly dreamlike way... Maybe because it was shot in Quakertown, PA ^^ The way the background seems almost snowy, and the models' pose feels full of movement as if she's floating across the image, but the fabric she's wearing feels so still - intended or not, I'd say that with the one raised arm and foot visible, she seems to look as if she's somehow hanging or floating moreso than dancing or flying. I had to really stop and think about the hat she's wearing too - it looks slightly quirky and almost out of place "wardrobe-wise" *wrinkles nose*, but when I try to imagine the shot without it...well, it just doesn't work nearly as well! Its appearance is not unlike a straw halo of sorts (does that make any sense? i'm not caffeinated yet so "making sense" eludes me atm haaha). It seems to tie the model into the environment in the same way that a rug "ties a room together" - omg, did I just make that kind of comparison?! yikes. ^^ You have just an incredible eye for the subtle :) I'm glad you've shared this image, it gave me something to think about as I start my day!
September 14, 2005 12:20pm Ok - this officially is bordering on spooky now! I had a dream last night about ballerinas dancing through the woods. (only in my dream they had tops on. So, of course, I like yours MUCH better!!! lol)
