Lashawna Nicole Hammond born Lashawna Nicole Franklin is the oldest sibling of 3 sisters (Born on December 20) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, model, and actress. Born in Miami, Fl but soon after she was born her father joined the military and the family moved to Europe and they began traveling several parts of world. Lashawna developed a passion for music at a young age. Some of her influences are Mary J Blige, Whitney Houston, and Alicia Key‘s. At the tender age of 6 she began competing in school and local talent shows. She would always be the entertainment at family gatherings, and other social events.

Lashawna graduated from Mitchell High in Colorado. In March after her father retired from the military the family moved to Saint Petersburg, Fl to be closer to her mothers family.

In May after working as a Licensed Realtor and Accounts payable clerk. Lashawna moved to California to further pursue her singing career. Since moving to California Lashawna has been performing at several venues in the California area such as Cine space R&B Live Hollywood, Celebrity Centre, The Queen Mary Ship in Long Beach , on Alex Lam’s campaign for city councilman in Stanton Ca, Opening singer for Lisa Nichols of the SECRET, Westminister Theatre acting as Sojourner Truth, and the Warehouse Restaurant just to name a few. Lashawna has also done Home Depots corporate party in St. Petersburg, Fl. Lashawna has been working on her debut album Impossible or Possible. Her songs can be found on CD Bady, itunes, amazonmp3, ect. Lashawna continues to developed her craft as an independent artist and is working her way to national & international, radio and television play. She continues to perform at venues across the California area. Her hard work and dedication has gotten her thus far. Lashawna’s talents speak for themselves and she will soon be known all over the world. Lashawna believes if you dream it, practice it, live it each and everyday , you will become it!
