Biography:

When I begin to think about "who I am" and my life I would have to say that it all starts with God. My parents had it rough when they got together and if it wasn't for the Lord I know I wouldn't be here to write this Biography. My parents were very young when they had my brother Anthony and I and with no college education, surviving was an obstacle in and of itself. I can distinctley remember standing on line at church for food and clothes. I can actually say that I am geniunely appreciative of our "misfortune". I put that word in quotations because it was truly a blessing in disguise. Without the struggle I wouldn't have the relationship I do with my parents and my brothers. It was those tough times that tied us together. I often times wish to struggle with my own family (when I have one) because the bonds made between my family and me are irreplaceable.
My brother Anthony and I were your typical boys growing up; rambunctious, destructive, and active! We always needed an outlet for energy and football was our first. At the age of 12 we began playing for a P.A.L. league and a passion developed in us. We lived and breathed football, inside and out. We began lifting primarily for strength and power. I remember our first set of weights, one of my fathers customers was throwing out an OLD universal bench with a lat pulldown cable-it was sparkly red. Anthony and I would always throw ourselves into whatever it was we were doing, so naturally weight lifting became our second passion. We never worked out at the school gym, always together in the basement where we could focus and keep the intensity high. We always drew attention and people tended to admire us for our knowledge, discipline, dedication, and passion. We always wanted to be fitness models and be able to part our knowledge and passion for fitness to the rest of the world. After high school there was no more football and we had already been training for 6 years, and as we know energy doesn't die, it gets transfered. So our energy was then transfered from football to body building. We began to master the body both inside and out. We wanted to shape and sculp. Most people dont break down the sport, it is building a body. We took time to work on weak points to strengthen and condition as well as maintenance for our stronger body parts to allow the other muscles to catch up. Education is what brought us to the next level. Understanding the body anatomically, kineistetically and nutritionally, allowed us to go that much further. Ceasing progress is something my brother and I never accepted. We both received an Associates in Science degree from Suffolk County Community College as a "Fitness Specialist" and then transfered to Adelphi University where I entered into a Dual Bachelors of Science program in both Health and Physical Education. Finding a job as a teacher was not that easy, and I believe not what I was meant to do. I was already working out at XSport fitness and the Fitness Manager and all the trainers would always say "I been doing this for years and every time I talk to you or your brother I learn something knew." I think that was God trying to tell me my niche in life. I then began training at XSport Fitness and realized I belong in the Fitness Industry one way or another. They say if you love what you do then you never have to "work". I strongly believe that.
