2012 MAKEUP ARTIST OF THE YEAR! RawArtists.org/kerrimetcalfmua

As a teen, I discovered cosmetics and began experimenting, and after the urging of my friends and family, I humbly brought my "self-taught" skills to MAC Cosmetics. There, I learned so much and my passion flourished and I realized that my hobby could become my profession. Soon after, I began taking freelance projects, including: weddings, fashion photo shoots, modeling portfolios, maternity portraits and special event makeup. This brings me here to Model Mayhem - I want to meet and work with - and most importantly LEARN FROM many new people within this industry and create beauty together!

In 2011, I was given the opportunity to earn my Esthetics License via a scholarship. I find it very important to show diversity in my work; from the healthy, radiant glow of a bride, to edgy and alternative looks necessary for fashion shows and promotional advertising work.

Continuing education is very important to me as an artist to keep up with new techniques and state of the art equipment, as well as staying on trend within the industry. I regularly attends workshops, trade shows, and seminars to ensure my clients receive the latest products and the best experience possible.

My goal is for every client to leave the chair feeling beautiful, relaxed and ready for her event, picking up a few tips and tricks along the way. An in-depth consultation, interactive and educational experience, and expertise can guarantee the client will feel fully pampered, satisfied and confident.
