About Me

My goal is to create unique and innovative works of art with my photography, push my creativity to the limit, and have fun while doing it. I enjoy the challenge of presenting traditional subjects in a new way. My emphasis is on exploring the magic of light, the beauty of the human body, and the excitement of motion.

I started in photography mostly with black and white 35mm film, which I processed in my basement darkroom. Back then I mostly shot landscapes and wildlife, but in recent years I've developed an appreciation for the human form and a passion for working with people. Although most of my current work is digital, I still have a wide variety of film cameras, including a Zone VI Ansel Adams style 4"x5" view camera. (I haven't actually used that one yet but hope to break it in soon.)

As a long-time computer geek and web developer, I can't say I'm not excited about the wide range of image-processing software on the market, but I still spend as much of my time as possible behind the camera.

I like meeting new people, especially those with similar interests (which isn't all that hard, since I'm interested in just about everything). I take my work seriously, but never so seriously that I can't have fun with it.

I enjoy working with a variety of models and other artists and want our time together to be as rewarding for those I work with as it is for me. I believe that the best photos are created when everyone involved is as comfortable as possible, so I encourage input & feedback from the models and others involved in any project I work on.

If you're interested in my work, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm easy to work with and open to just about any type of reasonable arrangement. Let's find out what we can create together!
